Manage your data
Google+
Google+ is a project from
Google that offers a new way to share with people online – one based on the way
relationships work in the real world. Rather than sharing all your information with
everyone, Google+ allows you to share different things with different people.
We designed Google+ with privacy in mind, including a number of different features that provide you with transparency and choice over who can see what type of information you post or share.
One feature is Circles, which help you manage your friends and contacts. You can put your friends in one circle, your family in another and your boss in a circle all by himself – just like real life! Then you can share relevant content with the right people.
For more information see the Google+ Privacy Guide.
Another sharing feature is the +1 button: If you +1 something it means you like the particular site, article or feature and want to recommend it to others. +1’ing is a public action. Anyone on the web can potentially see that you’ve +1’d content when they’re searching on Google or viewing content you’ve +1’d. For this reason, you should only +1 pages when you’re comfortable sharing your recommendation with the world. You can manage and delete all your +1’s in your Google Profile.
It’s good to know that Google+ offers a new way to share with people online. Read the next topic: Managing your data on YouTube
