We welcome you to join the International Society for Computational Biology-Regional Student Group (ISCB-RSG), Denmark.  The students would have a possibility of discounted programmes for the courses or conferences they attend with respect to Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Computational Biology, Mathematical Modelling, Structural Biology and other programs that are affiliated to ISCB. We have some open thoughts, judgements and benefits we foresee in running this group:

  • Impart a complete understanding of the principal bioinformatics tools through interactive summaries, polls, group discussions, debates and colloquiums
  • Bring eminent bioinformatics professionals and Computer Scientists to a common platform.

At the outset, we feel that Biology at the present time has changed a lot from its basic biology to uprooted level of structured and full-size disciplines like developmental biology, molecular biology, chemical biology, structural biology, genomics, and proteomics and so on and achieve our standards towards bioinformatics. This is the need of the hour for universities such as Roskilde University in Denmark where they have been reformed recently. Now we have capabilities of young scientists turning to Bioinformatics/Computational Biology from three of the six departments of Roskilde University. However this groups caters needs for all universities in Denmark interested in Computational Biology

We would like to hear your inputs and suggestions from you at your convenience while you may please feel free to disseminate this information with your colleagues and join the mailing list.

Sincerely
