Queen very amused by Bond stunt - Rogge

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth II was "very amused" by the image of her jumping out of a helicopter along with James Bond at the Olympics opening ceremony, IOC president Jacques Rogge revealed on Thursday.

During the ceremony the queen had an unprecedented speaking role in a pre-recorded segment with 007 actor Daniel Craig, before they both appeared to parachute out of a helicopter and land in the Olympic Stadium in east London.

The real queen then took her seat in the stadium to rapturous applause.

"I was standing in the room about 10 metres away from the queen and we were watching it on TV," Rogge told a small group of journalists.

"She had a smile on her face because she knew the plot.

"She was very amused."

The queen had kept the whole thing so secret that not even her grandsons Princes William and Harry knew anything thing about it.
