Gabon president 'Omar Bongo dies'
MADRID (AFP) — Gabon Prime Minister Jean Eyeghe Ndong will read a statement Monday morning at a Barcelona clinic following the announcement of the death of President Omar Bongo Ondimba by a French source, the clinic said.
"The prime minister of Gabon will read a statement at 10:15 am (0815 GMT)," a spokesman for the private Quiron clinic, where several sources said he was being treated for advanced cancer, told AFP.
