Woman in Beijing dies of suspected bird flu: state media
BEIJING (AFP) — A woman in the Chinese capital has died of suspected bird flu, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Tuesday, citing local health authorities.
The woman, Huang Yanqing, died on Monday, Xinhua said in a brief dispatch that gave no other details.
If confirmed, it would be the first reported bird flu death in China since February last year.
