WASHINGTON (AFP) — A powerful 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck early Monday an area in the Sea of Okhotsk in Russia's far east, according to the US Geological Survey.
The USGS said the epicenter of the temblor -- which occurred at 8:02 pm (0902 GMT) -- was located 314 kilometers (195 miles) west of the Russian city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy.
