Budget an 'honest' account of economic plight: Obama
WASHINGTON (AFP) — US President Barack Obama said on Thursday that his new 2010 budget was an "honest" accounting of the US economic situation, but warned "hard choices" on spending lay ahead.
"This budget is an honest accounting of where we are and where we intend to go," Obama said at the White House.
"There are some hard choices that lie ahead."
