GLENDALE, Arizona (AFP) — Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin will wait until the last minute before Saturday's National Football League playoff game at Carolina to test his injured hamstring.
"We're just trying to be smart about the entire situation and just see how it feels on Saturday," Boldin said Thursday.
Boldin was hurt during a 71-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter of Arizona's 30-24 first-round playoff victory over Atlanta last weekend.
The three-time Pro Bowler did light rehabilitation work on Thursday.
"It's a fine line that you have between doing enough and doing too much," he said. "If I played any other position, I'd be fine. But being a receiver you've got to run every play and it's definitely tough."
The injury is the latest setback for Boldin, who missed the last two regular-season games for Arizona with a shoulder injury.
He missed two games earlier in the campaign with a concussion and facial fractures, but finished second on the team with 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns in the regular season.
