Shoestring Gourmande
Anyone with money can go to Dean & Deluca, blow $150 on rarefied oils, artisanal cheeses and cured meats, and put together a fancy meal. But who could keep up with such extravagance? And would one want to? My hope for this blog is to provoke creativity in the kitchen, where cooking on a budget is, at its basest, a survival skill; at its most elevated, an art.
