World Leadership School Belize Climate Change 2008
Teachers from five U.S. schools experienced the Belize Climate Change Program from June 23-30, 2008. They saw climate change problems - and solutions - in Belize's rain forest, savanna and coastal areas. They lived with families in Democracia, a Belizean community, and brainstormed distance learning ideas with local teachers. They experienced WLS's leadership progression. On the way, they climbed atop a Mayan ruin, soaked in a jungle jacuzzi, and snorkeled over Belize’s coral reefs.
