useful as a personal to-do list - Maric J. Kramer - Dec 9, 2009 - Report this comment
This is really useful as a running personal to-do list. I wouldn't use it for long-term planning (like school or work projects), but it works for all those little things I used to write in my planner and carry over from week to week.

It would be great to be able to only show current due tasks not every on in the future

Would be great to be able to share with multiple users logged into there own igoogle page to have a central tasks list.
The tasks window would always open showing my tasks list. Now every time I open iGoogle in a new browser window, the tasks box wants me to sign in again. I'm not deleting cookies to cause this. That is starting to get annoying and I can't figure out why this has suddenly started to happen.
If possible, would like to see an option to have completed tasks to the bottom of the list. I know some people like it to be deleted/removed but I like to keep them in the list.
I have always loved MyListy but the gTasks Android Market app (also free) syncs Google Tasks with my Android phone. That makes Google Tasks a lot handier for me now than MyListy. The only enhancement I can think of would be to have a tab for each list to more easily switch between them (credit this idea to MyListy).
How about adding the ability to print out the list? Sometimes a simple paper list is the most effective technology. How about the ability to export it to Google docs? Then I can share a long list of tasks with someone else -- "Hey, help me out with all these things to do."
It would be nice to have recurring job functionality, and possibly in the future an optional sync between calendar and tasks (show when tasks were completed, so when you procrastinate a week on a job you know you need to do it one month after that date)
Share Tasks with other Google users: Yeh keep googling for this one!
Firefox issue - can't edit task name even for new task - Rick Williams - Nov 18, 2009 - Report this comment
I, too, cannot edit task title directly on the main interface. This makes the gadget unusable since all I can do is add a blank task. Even going to the details form doesn't help because it only allows the user to update notes, not the task itself. (I must mention that it sometimes does let me edit the task name, but I haven't discerned when/why that is.) Please, please fix the gadget for the Firefox users. I was really hoping this would be a useful tool for me. Thanks.
I loves it... but how about the list title is clickable so we could choose a different list from there rather than having to go through the bottom menu?? I seem to naturally go there every time I want to change lists - is it just me???
The Sort Mode of my Task list in Google Desktop and on iGoogle randomly will switch from "Sort by Due Date" to "View in My Order" without any interaction from me.
Is showing me tasks of a different Google Account - Robin Staple - Nov 3, 2009 - Report this comment
I'm signed in to my google Account on IGoogle, but this Tasks Gadget is showing me the tasks of a different Google Account which is open in another browser.
Enable the ability to manually sort tasks when viewing in "Sort By Due Date" mode. That is, allow the user to manually change the position within a particular day or to another day without having to switch to "View in my Order" first.
KEEP IT SIMPLE!!! - Jean-Francois Plourde - Nov 1, 2009 - Report this comment
Love the Tasks by Google, it's my everyday to-do list. No need for all these complicated priorities, folders, etc. When it gets too crowded (like MS outlook) I tend to not use these programs...but Google Tasks is great, it's like my personal pocket note pad. (By the way if you want priorities, how about dragging what's important at the top, and low priority at the bottom, I mean, isn't this a simple system that everyone knows, and that don't require a programmer???) People are becoming lazy i'm affraid :-)

Also, please create a downloadable program, like you have with Iphone and Android for Gmail tasks for WinMo phones. Thanks!

This should have a resize option or at least size the frame to fit the content.
