it is a nice begining there are only two bad things about: dont recognises letters without acentes: ex.: Fruhling don't recognised in german but i needed to write Frühling. and th other thing is that it really need more lenguages ... at least all European should be writen in it...
This is a crappy gadget because it doesnt work in the homepage. All it does is take you to the babelfish website where you have to re-enter the query. Terrible.
OMG! you actually tried to pass a class with this! What did you do when you tests came around? didnt learn anything did you? no, cuz you used this to do you home work.
I like it a lot, its fun to translate any word you want in to a bunch of languages. BUT whenever i try to do it in chinese and/or japinese, all it does it show rectangles in place for letters. otherwise, i love it.
Not as good as I would have hoped - Derrell Durrett - Nov 13, 2007 - Report this comment
I agree that this gadget has the flaw of opening a new browser window (which I avoid). What the resulting translation is and whether it's any good are subjective, though. And translation is extremely hard, so I'll not expect more until someone (anyone!) does it really well.
Use another translation gadgetAnonymous - Nov 13, 2007 - Report this comment
Babelfish doesn´t have the greatest translation. Other tools return better results and are easier to use. Text doesn´t wrap when entering words into box. Results open in separate webpage instead of inside gadget itself.
This is a TERRIBLE gadget. It makes no sense when it translates. It was like: "what do you call make." WTF does that mean! its supposed to make life easier, not more frustrating.
Wow, this sucks. I've used it a few times now, and every time I get the same results as what I put in. Simple French to English and vice versa. Occasionally, it recognizes basic vocabulary. Not to mention, this gadget doesn't actually work in your iGoogle pages. Rather, it opens a new page. Which IMO, defeats the purpose of gadgets.
