I have used this gadget all year and it has really helped me lose weight. But, in just the last 24 hours I've had the same problems opening it up. My son installed snow leopard on my MAC so I was wondering if that had anything to do with it?

I really work well with this gadget when it works well... what has happened?
Whats the point in recording calories if you can't look back over and see if you've been able to reduce? Resetting at the end of each day is pointless. Also, the iphone version is equally crap (and costs £1.19) as it doesn't even separate foods into meals, they're all bunched in together! Absolutely terrible, which i'd seen the reviews before buying!!!
Seemed a good app, but doesn't save any data :( - Anonymous - Aug 18, 2009 - Report this comment
I just wanted a little app to save my data so i can keep track... I spent all the time putting in my info, then it didn't save ANY of it! Seems like I'm not the only one. Very disappointed!!! I know it's free, but what's the point in having something that doesn't work?
Yip, a waste of time and frustrating. I found http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/toolbar/ for Free, accurate and very detailed. It also doesnt have random makes of retailer food youve never heard of on it like this one.
www.calorieking.com works much better. It's $19.99 for an entire year, and gives you many more options. And it saves your stuff. Been using it for years and it has a great database, and the ability to create your own items if it's an off the cuff item. (like agave nectar, certain trail mix you use, etc.)
Basically you can't add data from the search categories. I have been able to save the data, but you have to search the item, write down the info, then go to the meal section(breakfast, lunch, etc.) and put everything in manually. Then you have to click on the + sign to the left of the item, it will then show a check mark next to it and then it will save.
Did anyone figure out how to save data? - Anonymous - Jul 3, 2009 - Report this comment
It's pretty useless without the save function. I'd give it a 5 if it saved!
Doesnt save information entered - Paul Barnes - Jun 15, 2009 - Report this comment
It has a GREAT interface and is very easy to use, the only issue is that it doesnt save anything. No items or calorie intake. Bummer!
This gadget motivated me, lowering my daily food allotment as my goal came closer. 1500 calories at the start edged into the 1400s as I lost the pounds.
This is exactly what I needed, I went looking for a calorie calculator online ready to have to sort through overwhelming messes. But here it is right on google. It would be nice if it stored the week's totals and let you graph them and stuff.

This would be a great gadget except you can't save. I see I'm not the only person who noticed this. Someone should fix the problem!
