1. place 6 balls in each scale to find out which 6 are off. 2. then place 3 in each scale to see which 3 are off. 3. then place 2 of the 3 that were off and see if there is a difference. If not, the remaining ball is the odd ball. If there is a difference, one of the two in the scale is the odd ball, which I would then place in the palm of my hands to determine which one, since I could no longer use the scale. Idiotic I know, but that's me !

Put 3 ball in each pan and weigh it, this is the quickest way to find which is the ball with lighter weight by repeating the task.

I tried to find the solution or more weighing puzzles and there is not respone. It seems as it is frozen, even after I added it it is still frozen. I think there is someting wrong with the program since my computer is working fine in every other was.

I would put 6 balls on each pan. The lighter one would determine which set is lighter. Then, on my second turn, I would divide the set into 3 on each pan. On my third time I would put one ball on each pan if they are equal the on one on my hand is the lightest or if one is lighter on the scale that is the one that is the lightest. I haven't seen the solution but i think my way is one solution.

These puzzes are good and actually fun to solve! I'm confused about why some people are angry that they are trick questions and have advertising, and are links to other sites. I didn't fid ANY advertizing, most puzzles have some trick to them or their just really boring. The Puzzles one does not link to an external site.

We comment because we want to place warnings on any bad gadget, and give prizes to good ones. Some do it to help. Some do to just express their feelings of anger and frustration. Ignoring those who post things anouncing their birthday and such, we don't have too much time - we're taking minutes out of our own precious free time to help. Not sure where being a nerd would come into this.
