Try entering you zip code, or one near you. Not sure why NOAA (not Google) isn't pulling weather data for that location. I tried 90745 (zip I got from Google search on Carson, CA zip) and I was able to get the forecast data.

I ship chocolate and we need to check a variety of zipcodes everyday to be sure the chocolate does not melt at delivery... this is a wonderful gaget that allows me to change the zipcode easily and see weather for many days. Thank you.

It's actually ustart.org. Saw it at www.digitizd.com/2012/08/10/5-great-replacements-for-igoogle/ It's the best iGoogle replacement I've seen. French, no less. Supposed to accept igoogle gadget URLs. How can I get the url for your NOAA gadget? Thanks again..

Hans, this is the first I've heard of Ustart.com. There are several of these iGoogle replacements popping up. I won't be able to port the gadget for them all. I had one user who started his own iGoogle-like site at www.igHome.com and ported a version of the NOAA weather gadget. So feel free to try that out. I will also give out the code if you want to write your own! Glad you like the gadget, thanks!

Default iGoogle widget shows wrong days and weather. Opening a new tab is needed to get current weather. NWS is great!

When did it stop working? I haven't made any changes to the gadget in months. Could be that the NOAA forecast service is temporarily down for that location.

For several days now I've been getting "Current conditions not reported" above my weekly forecast icons. I've tried deleting the gadget and reinstalling but that didn't change anything. I have it set to zip code and latitude/longitude and both have that same message. I use FF, version 18.0. Suggestions? Thanks!

I am not able to test that environment myself. Was the gadget working and then one day just stopped? Or did it stop working when you started using IE9? If it was working and then just stopped one day, it is most likely that the NOAA weather service is down for your area. It will come back eventually. Usually within a day or two.

You can enter a city/state. You just have to replace all spaces and commas with a _. So Chicago, IL becomes Chicago_IL. San Francisco, CA becomes San_Francisco_CA.

Bruce, the weather data does not belong to me. It is modeled by NOAA. Sometimes the forecast data can get a little wonky if you live near the coast or in the mountains since temps can vary greatly over small distances in those regions. If you are able to figure it out your house's latitude and longitude, you can enter it in the gadget (i.e. 40.4225,-80.23) to get a more accurate forecast than simply using a zip code.

This is an issue with Google as far as I can tell. But there is a way around it and I can confirm others have done it: the trick is that you will have to do it yourself by adding a parameter to the src attribute in the script tag that google generates. The parameter is up_zips_or_lls=<your location here zip/lat,lon/city_state>. So the script tag should look something like: script src="http://www.gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/115396117075114761144/noaa_forecast.xml&amp;up_zips_or_lls=90210&amp;up_show_cc=0&amp;up_units=1&amp;synd=open&amp;w=320&amp;h=250&amp;title=NOAA+US+Weather+Forecast&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999&amp;output=js" Let me know if that does it for you! John: Do you have any idea why the REQUIRED field of "location" cannot be entered? According to the instructions under Webmaster Tools, you have to fill this field before you can get the code to embed the gadget. If the field isn't editable, then how the heck do we put our location into it? I realize you may not know, but I'm hopeful you do.
