I like the task canvas gmail gadget but the color of the gadget title on the sidebar is grey. Is there anyone her knows how to change it to white? And how to modify the task canvas so that I will still be able to view the Settings button on the right upper corner of the screen when I access this gadget?? PLEASE HELP.. What a LEMON of a gadget! Doesn't validate, doesn't publish, doesn't store XLM at a URL! GGE is dead in the water for a couple months now and this neat looking workaround is a big, fat, DUD!

Since GGE hosting seems to be broken: Is it possible to change hosting to a different site? Currently I'm at hosting.gmodules.com, and I can put the file somewhere else if the gadget origin URL can be changed (Can't see a way to do this at the iGoogle dashboard). Tx.

The API makeRequest function doesn't appear to work in the preview pane. I recommend that you press File->Publish and preview it on your iGoogle home page. Firefox 7.0.1 and Chrome 15.0.874.106

when I load a file, the file contents disappear after the message File successfully loaded is shown. The code I type on it also disappears. I am using Mozilla firefox 3.6.11. Any ideas on how to fix this?

IE8, 96 lines of code - several lines are blank. When replacing some code by pasting, a bunch of blank lines where also added. This did not happen initially when first pasting. Replacing a few URLs ended up adding over a thousand blank lines. Refreshing the browser window did not shake any sense into the gadget. I ended up typing the new URLs instead of pasting. That worked/saved OK.

I can edit and save in IE8. As all I'm making right now is a random-loading image gadget, this is OK. BUT, IE8 will not let me see the preview. I get a message saying IE has modified the page to prevent cross-site scripting. All I end up seeing is "#". But I can use this gadget's preview pane in Chrome - after first re-adding the spaces to the first line which Chrome removes. At least I made my gadget work right :P

Saving a file is a bit iffy. No matter how hard I try to get the first line to have the correct syntax, I usually end up losing a space upon saving: <?xmlversion="1.0"encoding="UTF-8" ?>. Due to the wandering insertion point and missing space bugs, I've taken to editing in Notepad++ and copy/paste into this gadget so I could stream-line publishing to the hosting service.

Apologize for the unintentional bug introduced on early 10/28. The issue has since been fixed late in the day. We are also currently working on fixing some of the long standing issues of this tool. You might also want to try OSDE as another gadget editor.

This thing could not have crashed at a worse time. Nothing works at all. Now I have to put my gadget testing on hold while I get 5 emails a day about my gadget not working right.

I agreed with Daniel, the GGE is blank since 10/28. I've tried with all browsers and it seems like there is a js form blocking the editor which may be behind it. Need help now!1
