This gadget works for me, if you can call it working when the audio has a stutter and the layout is too wide for an iGoogle column.

It seems the iGoogle box for Italian Word of the Day is quite sensitive to the widnow width, so if it doesn't display properly, try widening the Firefox window

The Italian is clear, and the practice sentence gives a practical sentence. I work in Rome, and my Italian colleagues said the Italian was good. It would be nice to get more advanced words, not just the basic vocabulary.
