My Parents took our family camping at Lake Tenaya every Summer for many years. Two weeks every Summer. We always had the most desirable campsite with the biggest camp fire. My Uncle's family also joined us half the time. Oh what a joy it was to swim in the crystal clear cold lake. Hiking up to Mt. Hoffman with my Dad was absolutely SPECTACULAR! Our run-ins with bears who would raid our pantry and ice chests were CLASSIC! I love Tenaya Lake more than any location on Earth.

This beautiful lake reminds me of Donner L. -So clear and cold with glacial run off . At that elevation it must be silent enough to hear echos too.

Have been to Yosemite many times-esp in my youth ! I feel it is the crown jewel of the national parks. The beauty is intense and timeless.

It looks like this was shot in late summer. I like to imagine it in the winter as well. Very nice pic. We are all so fortunate to have the worlds best national park system that protects these wonderful places. And this one (Yosemite) was the 1st.

Great, I love it when I see pictures of the many great parks and spots in the United States. I wish more people understood that to find something really great here in this country rather than spend so much money visiting other places and know nothing of the U.S. and its great beauty that they ignore.
