As a Canadian who has reaped the benefits of universal health care, I can say that we receive much better health care and much more affordable health care in Canada, than anything I have received here in the U.S.. My mother was treated for breast cancer under Canada's universal health care program and 5 years later she is living healthy and happy. Those of you who are scared of socialized medicine are just scared of your inefficient government, I don't really blame you because your government sucks. Maybe if you Americans would quit wasting time supporting Bush because of your whacked out Christian beliefs you could make some social progress and go back to being a respectable country.

Try thailand the emergency room in a boutique hospital, yes boutique, will cost you about 35 U.S. dollars, and the drugs company don't have the govt. in the pocket so they are affordable. american healthcare is a scam. you're right if you want healthcare move to a country with it. I did. and I wont be back, fully equipped hospital, yeah america is the only country with those. jackass.
Nearly four months later, the only comments are about Michael Moore. Come on, people. Love him, hate him, who cares? It's a free country, warts and all, but can we please move on? I sincerely hope the next president will be a Democrat, so that the Republicans can practice their attacks and the Democrats can practice their defense. At least it will be something different.

Faye Roller, you are the problem with this country. Where is your pride? Seriously? Yes there are problems with this country, but I would say we are so much better off then 99% of the world. "THANK GOD for Michael Moore", you have got to be friggin kidding me , right? If there is anyone in this country that I feel I need to fact check, its him. And to the people who want free universal health care, move to the countries that provide it. And when you get sick, let me know how awesome it is. You will be back in the States visiting one of our fully equipped hospitals in no time. Sure its great if you catch a cold, but if you have a serious illness, you will not get the proper meds or the best attention possible.
I was very surprised to see that someone wrote that Micheal Moore is a genius. It is your duty and privilege as an American to question EVERYTHING that is stated as "fact", especially from someone like Micheal Moore who abuses his freedom by exploiting others to get what HE wants...hmmmm...like MILLIONS! This man has dedicated his life to making people more aware of what is going on in our government and we all have the right to know. THANK GOD for Michael Moore and what he has done for this country. Michael Moore is simply using the theatrical medium of capitalism to get rich by intentionally ignoring important facts to present his opinion in how he would like it to be to further boost his financial gain, not to be some important savior to inform the masses. He picks heated topics because that is where the money is at the time. It would be suggested that you actually do a little research yourself on this topic, rather than get all heated up by simply taking someone's word for something, especially knowing that that person's word is blatantly and openly refusing to report many specifics facts because the disagree with what he wants to be real. I would also suggest that you go try the other nation's medical systems when you need real health care. It might make more sense to you, as it does to the thousands of such people who come to the US for medical care when they can instead of relying on the poor, free medical care they could have gotten but instead much prefer to pay the costs here and to get here for medical care. Our system is not bad...it can be expensive, yes, but we don't have the best and most advanced medical system in the world for nothing (that is not to say that some smaller specialized fields are not found in other countries, but for all around major medical, you are best to be in the US).
Michael Moore asks questions like why can't America have universal free health care if Canada,France, England and every other nation in the West does. Why do Americans accept so little in fear and ignorance when it sees Canadians,French and English people refuse to settle and laugh at us,pity us and look down on us.Even the poverty riden Cubans get taken care of while Americans die so needlessly,without hope and live in fear of the HMO,illness,no insurance or 3 jobs without one decent job.What good is all our wealth,weapons if we live infear of dying in a hospital waiting room,on the street in the 'richest nation in the world? Why do we not have the heroes amongst our people to demand justice and an end to corporate and government GREED ?
