Doesn't show items with future due-dates - Michael Despault - Nov 11, 2009 - Report this comment
If you have any tasks with a due-data that's more than a few days ahead, it won't display. It can only display items that are due "today", "tomorrow", and all items without a due date (if you tick that option) but items with future due-dates are invisible
Is there a way to get RTM to list all my to-dos under their respective categories? Instead of just today, tomorrow, and never (I agree--"Undated" would be far better!), I'd like all the undated or overdue items broken down into my specific lists.
Need the ability to delete tasks, view specific listsSteven Cummings - Oct 25, 2009 - Report this comment
Two basic features needed: * Delete task should be available from the gadget * Should be able to select a list to view tasks from, much like the way the the google reader gadget allows tags to be selected. Aside from these requests, the gadget is great. If the above are implemented I might never have to go back to rtm.com :)
I do not understand how to use RTM offline. I downloaded gears but it would be nice to have a step by step explanation.
Don't understand category "Never" in a task managerAnonymous - Aug 28, 2009 - Report this comment
When a task is undated, RememberTheMilk displays it as "Never". This is bizarre -- because if I write myself a todo into a list it certainly is not meant to be done "never". Which insane developer of a todo list comes up with that? Is this an anglo saxxon or a French program? Hello?! I'd like to read "Undated" in such cases. How discouraging if it says "Never". LOL!! Piece of crap right from there on. No thanks.
Great to finally have a Google Gadget for RTM!Anonymous - Aug 19, 2009 - Report this comment
I've been a long time user of RTM, but it wasn't "in my face" enough to nag me about my to do items. This Google gadget is the key. Awesome!
Probably my most frequently used gadget & certainly one of the nicest implementations of a gadget anywhere. Easy to use, compact, and very functional ... right from your iGoogle page!
I have used this for some time on FF & Flock, and it hasn't ever had a problem. I enable cookies but then use CookieSafe Lite to manage them, so perhaps that's it.
Limited no. of tasks allowed - Anonymous - Jul 15, 2009 - Report this comment
I'm not able to list more than 6 tasks in one day on igoogle using chrome browser.
Worked just fine until I upgraded to Firefox 3.5 (Windows). Now I just get the "Add Task", "Settings", etc., but doesn't show any of my tasks. When iGooogle loads I do see traffic to/from the RTM servers, though. So I'm puzzled what in the RTM gadget broke with the Firefox 3.5 update
More on the Login / cookie problemLarry Clapp - Jun 18, 2009 - Report this comment
For Opera 9.64 for Linux, I read <http://operawiki.info/NewCookieSettings?show_comments=1> and tried a global setting of "refuse all cookies", and then created specific settings for www.google.com that said "accept all cookies", and a specific setting for www.rememberthemilk.com that said "accept only cookies from the site I visit", and now the gadget works for me. Life is good. :)
The login problem (from comments 6/13, 6/7, 5/28, etc) appears to be because of cookies. Clearing your cookies won't help. In Opera 9.64, you can say "accept only cookies from the site I visit". The RTM gadget needs to send a cookie to rememberthemilk.com. But, in Opera at least, even if you've already accepted the cookie, if you then set "accept only cookies from the site I visit", it doesn't send that cookie back to rememberthemilk.com. Having written that, I found a FAQ about it; see http://www.rememberthemilk.com/help/answers/troubleshooting/googleig.rtm. Basically, they say "ya gotta send us the cookies, guys". Unfortunately, Opera does not have (or I cannot find) the workarounds they mention for Firefox. Bummer.
Also Can't Get Past Login ScreenAnonymous - Jun 13, 2009 - Report this comment
I'm having the same issue as Anonymous from 6/7/09 and 5/28/09. Enter username and password and it just returns to the login screen. Frustrating. I go straight to the RTM web page and the same user name and password works. Have a Pro account. Help someone?

I have found this gadget works with Firefox and IE for me, but not Safari. Since I mostly use a Mac, I am jonesing for its return to my browser...help!
This gadget worked great for a couple of weeks. Now it won't let me login--I enter my user name and password, and it just keeps dumping me back onto the login screen, even after clearing out my cookies. Yet I can login just fine with the same user name and password if I go directly to the RTM website. It was a great gadget while it worked....
Gadget appears to mount ok and i can see login screen but I cannot login. I have cleared all cookies etc... Rmilk does login everywhere else except this gadget!
This is the best to do list if you need to specify date requirements. Otherwise, My Listy seems to be a much better gadget. Using the rtm website to add or edit tasks is somewhat confusing and not well thought out. Seems to be more glitchy than other gadgets. (I don't use it with a cell phone so I can't review that part)
My dates are currently one day out (today's tasks show as being for tomorrow). Everything is normal on the RTM site, but not in the gadget. Tried removing and reloading the gadget but problem is still there.
Plz fix the login issue in regards to 3rd party cookies, I really like this gadget but I can't login because of 3rd party cookies and im not changing my security for it!
Sort option to ignore prioritySteve Spanos - Mar 13, 2009 - Report this comment
This is in the top 3 of the gadgets I use. It would be nice to have sort options available. I would like to be able to sort just by date & time without the groupings by priority. Having 6AM come after 4PM sometimes gets missed.
