Proud Platinum Sponsor of the
2008 Grace Hopper Celebration
of Women in Computing

Grace Hopper worked to build a better world through her long and distinguished career as a professor at Vassar and Rear Admiral of the US Navy. She was a pioneer in the early beginnings of computer science and demonstrated throughout her life a clear passion for innovation. This exceptionally gifted woman invented, among many other things, the compiler, the intermediate program that translates English language instructions into a language a computer understands.

It’s easy for us at Google to find inspiration in Grace Hopper’s life and work, and we've been working hard to build products and initiatives for a better world. We hire great people who share our energy and desire to find new and innovative solutions to do more.
