Celebrity, Summer Searches Dominate Weekly Google Zeitgeist

Top 15 Gainers for the Week Ending June 26

This week, people searching on Google.com showed their true colors by looking for sporting events (World Cup, Wimbledon, NBA draft - and if you're at Stonehenge, summer solstice) as well as such time-honored summer activities as weddings (Kidman, Urban) and weekend movie releases (Click, Meagan Good, Brandon Routh). In addition, several notable people passed away this week (Aaron Spelling, Richard Stahl, Patsy Ramsey) - and one decided to give away a considerable sum (Warren Buffett).

For breaking news and obscure information alike, people around the world search on Google. Below is a summary of the Google Zeitgeist results for the top 15 gainers on Google.com when comparing search queries that have risen by a significant percentage for the week of June 12-19.
