Create Google Buttons
1. Place your mouse pointer on any of the text links below.

Google
Search
Performs search on any highlighted text or just click button to prompt pop-up search box. |
GoogleScout
Delivers sites and information related to whichever page you are viewing. |
Google.com
One click takes you directly to Google's homepage. |
2. Press down the right mouse button and select "Add Bookmark for Link".
3. From the Bookmarks menu, select "Edit Bookmarks".
4. Drag and drop the newly added bookmark into your Personal Toolbar folder.
5. Rename the bookmark. (The name of the bookmark will be "javascript:blahblahblabhalbhablha" so changing it is of great value.)
Try the Buttons
Google Search
- Use your mouse to highlight this phrase: Stanford University.
- Click the Google Search button to do a Google web search for the highlighted phrase.
- OR... simply click the button to prompt a pop-up Google search box.
GoogleScout
- Go to a web site such as www.stanford.edu.
- Once the page has loaded, click the GoogleScout button to find other web pages similar to Stanford's page.
Google.com
- Simply click the Google.com button to quickly go to the Google homepage
located at www.google.com.
NOTES: The Google Browser Buttons are tailored to the browser you are using. They should work for recent versions, but may not work for older browsers.
