    Looking Back Through Google!

I have used different images to represent our heritage on an Irish landscape. These come together to form the word 'Google' The main colours that I have used are green, white and gold, the colours of the national flag. The green shamrock and the snake recall St. Patrick. The cow's head reminds us of our farming culture. The use of the 'sliotar' shows the development of sports from the time of Cú Chulainn to the hurling of today. Our traditional Irish music and dance have traveled the world, and they are represented by a tin-whistle and Irish dancing poms. The rain that falls over the letter 'e' and the sunshine are also part of our heritage.

The first thing that My Ireland means to me is home. Since I live on a farm and come from a farming background I decided to put a farmer and some sheep in the back of my picture. Ireland also has a lot of symbols such as the shamrock, harp and rainbow. Ireland is well known for its sport, e.g. hurling and Gaelic football and so I put some hurles, a sliotar and a football. Ireland is also known for it's Celtic designs and snakes which St. Patrick drove away. Ireland means a lot to me and it is a great place to live.
