What if we in Ireland played with the stars at night? We could sleep with the stars and play with the stars. They are so special.
My name is Matthew. I live in Ireland. There are lots of people living in Ireland. We have friends from all over the world. They are in my class too! They are in my picture. We like the colours in our Irish flag - green, white and orange.
The tiger in my picture is going to step on the flower and break it. The horse is going to run with the pink flamingo. The dog has long ears. He is going to run with the tiger and squash the robots head. Now they are happy.
My drawing is about old Ireland and things that happened a long time ago and those things are still around today. I like the colours in the Irish flag. The vikings are scary. I like the irish cross.
Do you like my snowman? His name is Doogle. He likes to Google. Doogle Googles everything! He'll even get you a ring. And if you want he can sing. But he will not last 'til Spring.
The green grass is because Ireland has lots of green grass. People in Ireland are always smiling.
I like Ireland because it's a nice place to live. I live in Flagmount and it has lovely green fields and hills and a beautiful lake.
I like Ireland because you can buy slush puppies. Also all my friends and my mum and dad live here. I like Ireland because there is a great zoo and Smyths toy shop. I really love my home in Dublin and i am really lucky to live in Ireland.
Tá alán conic in Éirinn, uisce, ainmhithe agus an nádúir. Bhí alán naomh in Érinn fadó cosúil le naomh Bríde. Is bother é Google le teach tar mo Éire féin.
These are the things I can see around me and the things Ireland is famous for. There are loads of castles in Kildare. The snake and cross are on my school crest. Ireland is famous for the shamrock and the claddagh ring. Finally in my picture it is raining because it is always raining here.
Everyone needs a place where they belong. To me it's where I was born. I am learning Irish in school, it's my language. I also am learning Irish dancing. When I go abroad I have my Irish passport.
Ireland has its own dancing and own special music. I love music. I did snakes on the O's because the Irish dancers have twirls on their dresses that look like snakes. I did a lot of green and orange like the Ireland colours. The girl playing the fiddle is a fairy.
I like my picture because it's like the Saint Patrick's parade. I like the E because it has Saint Patrick on it. I drew facepaint on the first O to look like a child with facepaint. I drew the shamrock in the G because shamrocks are good luck in Ireland.
I have coloured the letters of my doodle in the colours of the Irish flag for my Ireland. The bicycle is for the sporting achievements of Stephen Roche. The shamrock is for Saint Patrick. The leprechaun and the pot of gold is for the stories and legends of Ireland.
Ireland is a beautiful place. With lovely flowers and green grass on which I play hurling and have such fun underneath the rainbow and the sun. Leprechauns leaping around, not a sad one to be found. After all that I'm sure you'll agree Ireland is the best place to be!
Ireland had a lot of Saints. It's a very fun country because it has lots of interesting things. It is a very holy country, people like to explore it. I like it a lot. I like my school alot too.
My Ireland is a very old country where people used to speak Irish and Latin, like the Monks did and where people were holy and read the Gospels. Now people in Ireland speak many languages and "Google" anything they want to learn about. My doodle mixes old and new Ireland
My Ireland doodle portrays all the things that are special and unique to me about Ireland. The shamrock, horse shoes, Croagh Patrick and Irish music. I have included the Euro to show that we are also part of a team as well as being individual.
I am from Poland and now I am living in Ireland. I love Ireland because everyone is so friendly and it is very colourful. My friends are here and I enjoy learning in my new school. When I think of Ireland I think of colour and flowers.
I designed this doodle 4 Google because I enjoy listening to and playing Irish music. I also enjoy playing hurling with my friends.
It reminds me of lots of things - Jesus, shamrocks, sandwiches, football and sometimes it's sometimes sunny.
It reminds me of St.Patrick banishing the snakes from Ireland.

I haven't been out of Ireland before, there's nothing wrong with that. In fact I like it. Ireland seems to pull you back. I want to make it greener
I have used different images to represent our heritage on an Irish landscape. These come together to form the word 'Google' The main colours that I have used are green, white and gold, the colours of the national flag. The green shamrock and the snake recall St. Patrick. The cow's head reminds us of our farming culture. The use of the 'sliotar' shows the development of sports from the time of Cú Chulainn to the hurling of today. Our traditional Irish music and dance have traveled the world, and they are represented by a tin-whistle and Irish dancing poms. The rain that falls over the letter 'e' and the sunshine are also part of our heritage.
My Ireland is a magical, musical, mystical place. For me,the magic can be found in the lovely places I visit, like Rosslare in the summertime. The music can be found everyday as I play three musical instruments and also I have a passion for dancing. The mystique can be found in the pot of gold at the end of every rainbow and the enchanting tales and myths of our country. I am proud to be Irish
St. Patrick's day is a special day. For my "Doodle 4 Google" I tried to include cool Irish symbols. The Celtic Cross is part of our history. The leprechaun, rainbow and crock of gold represent Irish mythology. The Irish colours represent our national flag. Finally, I included a Shamrock to bring me luck so that Google might like my doodle!
Each of the letters has a different mesage G - Long nights and it rains a lot. O - Ireland is a special part of the world. O - the weather is nice sometimes. G - people drink lots of tea. L - Ireland is teeming with nature. E - and wild life abounds.
After hearing about 'doodle4google' my class went on a fieldtrip to Glendalough, a famous heritage site & nature reserve. I collected many leaves and sticks. Then I took photos and arranged them on green paper representing Ireland's Green Isle! I love the outdoors, this doodle made me feel good.
My Ireland means to me that leprechauns, harps & shamrocks are what represents Ireland. I used gold, green & white to represent the flag.
My doodle covers many aspects of Ireland; music, heritage, sport and folklore, in one word. Agriculture, Gaelic Games, lush green landscapes and free flowing rivers provide leisure and lifestyle. Snakes banished and Vikings driven out. My Ireland is the place to be. Happy St.Patricks Day!
Ireland is the place I love. My picture reflects the beauty of the countryside, the colour of our native flag, the sense of fun, traditional music and the pot of gold under the colourful rainbow. The leprechaun reminds me of all the legends I like about Ireland.
I chose the instruments and emblems of Ireland because that's what my Ireland means to me. I love Irish music because of the beat. The shamrock symbolises the father, son and holy spirit. The flag represents Ireland and that's my Ireland.
I'm proud to live in an Ireland which is a place of fun, where music, song and dance, sport, history and our traditions are important. The "Dancing Sheep" represent the farming tradition which is of the highest quality just like our sport, music, art and dance.
"My Ireland " is now a country at peace with itself. This is symbolised by the Dove. Peace between Orange and green. Also shown are examples of Ireland past, Tara Brooch, Celtic design, and ancient Irish writing (Ogham). Google is spelt in Ogham on the stone. (Read from bottom up)
The hat is a leprechaun hat. The shamrock and the harp are Irish emblems. The Spire is on busy O'Connell Street in Dublin. The Salmon of Knowledge is an Irish legend. The Irish flag and Ireland's most popular stout "Guinness" is in the "G". The fields represent Western Ireland.
Ireland is my home, my family's and everyones home; it welcomes everyone. We have our own language and culture. Most people don't appreciate when the sun shines but WE DO! When you look hard enough you never know what's at the end of the rainbow!
My picture is colourful and stands out just like Ireland! I have used the colours of the Irish flag, the map of Ireland, a dancer, a hurley, a harpist, a leprechaun and a precious pot of gold. This pot is in the centre of Ireland - my leprechaun's luck!
I think Google is brilliant for showing people where to go. Just like St. Patrick.
Oh I love Ireland and the ocean around it because I didn't have one in Slovakia. I drew an umbrella with rain because it's mostly raining in Ireland. I drew an Irish map in the colours of the flag. The harp reminds me of music. The shamrock is symbol of Ireland.
Peep at the puffin without stress or strain, Surf the wonderful waves in sunshine and rain, Over rocks, old wrecks, sea creatures and stones, Spot the salmon of knowledge and maybe old bones. We love this island with beauty so rare, Look at the signpost and locate us in Clare.
Great scenery. Obvious beauty. Occasional sun. Great fun. Lots of forts and excellent sports. (The first letter of each word represents a letter in the doodle)
I based my design on the culture of Ireland. The harp was showing the Irish music. The shamrocks represent our patron saint. The brooch reflects our Irish history. The leprechaun stands for our legends. The hurley represents sport and the e has our flag and a symbol of our weather.
Lefty O' Google is the title of my design. He represents everything that is good about Ireland on St. Patricks Day. The logo features O'Google singing and dancing, with his magic acordian like all good leprechauns do. The pot of gold is at the end of the rainbow if you ever manage to catch Lefty (which nobody ever has!) this is where you will find him. The rainbow also represents the rainbow that makes our grass its forty shades of green. The lucky shamrocks are found all over Ireland and we wear them on our lapels. Our Patriotic colours are green, white and orange and they are found on our national flag.
The Celts were ancient Irish people who were very artistic. The G represents Celtic designs. The two shamrocks are Os and they are the Irish emblem. The rest of the letters represent our Celtic traditions. The snake stands for St. Patrick when he got rid of all the snakes with his staff.
My doodle depicts many aspects of how I see Ireland. The Gaelic Football shows that Ireland is a place where sport is important and is enjoyed. The fiddle shows that music is important too. The rainbow shows that Ireland can be colourful and vibrant but it also shows by the rain clouds, that it is not unusual for rain. Lastly the background shows Ireland's mountainous and hilly landscape.
I moved to Ireland from Iraq two years ago. From learning the tin whistle at school I have got to love Irish music and dance. I love the colours and details on the dance dresses, they remind me of home. I know about leprechauns from stories of Saint Patrick.
The 'G' represents the weather. The first 'O' represents the strong drama and performing arts in Ireland. The second 'O' stands for traditional music. The second 'G' represents a strong GAA culure and community. The 'L' is a celtic cross. The 'E' stands for all music in Ireland.
The old is represented by the Celtic cross and the Claddagh ring is designed by skilled craftsmen. The tall and sleek spire represents the vibrant and modern Ireland. The real shamrock is balanced by the mythical crock of gold found at the end of the rainbow.
My doodle shows the Ireland I love. St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland and banished snakes. Myth/legend:Children of Lir (4 swans) and leprechaun History: dolmen, towers, castles. Jewellery: Tara brooch and torc. Our glorious Gaelic Games and all the things I love in my mythical, magical, musical Ireland.

Ireland to me is a place of fun and enjoyment and is steeped in old myths and stories that inspire and amaze me. I tried to show this in my drawing.
My design is based on Irish heritage. The 'G' is decorated with celtic art. The harp is a traditional musical instrument. The claddagh ring stands for love, friendship and loyalty. The 'g' depicts Ireland and her waterways. The round towers were used by monks and the 'e' shows the colours of the Irish flag
My doodle "Ireland Unfolds" represents the change taken place in Ireland's history. The G and two Os represent traditional Irish sport and music, and with the coming of the Celtic Tiger (lower case g) Ireland underwent a transformation and became a powerful, independent state within the European Union
My doodle shows what comes to mind when I think about Ireland. I chose the shamrock because it is known worldwide as an Irish symbol. I chose both the city and the countryside for my background as Ireland has great scenery.
I drew this to show the culture and weather in our country, such as St Patrick and the snakes.
I decided to use our very famous Trinity College building in the heart of Dublin city for my google. I used the Pomodoro sculpture on Trinity's campus for the O in google because it is a very beautiful work of art.
In my design for 'My Ireland', I've blended aspects of our old celtic heritage with modern Ireland. Newgrange, the salmon of knowledge, Tara Brooch and the Boyne show our past. The spire and Ha'penny bridge across the Liffey symbolise the present. The old oak tree has lived through our developments.
Irish Dancing is very popular in Ireland at the moment. The dancers dress shows a Celtic design. This design can be found in the Book of Kells. My design shows a combination of old and new Ireland.
G is formed in the shape of a swan, a familiar sight on our rivers and lakes. O is a sliotar, used in our national sport of hurling and camogie. O has a donkey’s head looking out through it, like you would see in our fields. G is formed in the shape of a fishing rod and line, another popular sport. L is a daffodil, the flower most associated with spring and easter. E is contained in the traditional “Irish Breakfast” of rashers, sausages, egg and pudding.
My Ireland means music to me. While looking at my music book I was inspired to produce my design for Google.
The first thing that My Ireland means to me is home. Since I live on a farm and come from a farming background I decided to put a farmer and some sheep in the back of my picture. Ireland also has a lot of symbols such as the shamrock, harp and rainbow. Ireland is well known for its sport, e.g. hurling and Gaelic football and so I put some hurles, a sliotar and a football. Ireland is also known for it's Celtic designs and snakes which St. Patrick drove away. Ireland means a lot to me and it is a great place to live.
This picture represents Ireland's Beauty. I drew a deer and mountains. I drew a round tower to show Ireland's historical landmarks. The boat represents Ireland vehicles. After I choose the colours carefully and finished the piece. That is my way to show Ireland's Beauty.
I fell in love with Ireland's countryside from the first day. I came here from the U.S.A. Thick grassy pastures with little white puffballs that were the sheep stood out to me like white fire. I love Ireland but the parts that means the most to me are the countryside and the sheep!
Ireland is a very cultural place. But people have many stereotypes. They think we live on potatoes and hunt sheep and cows, they think we live on the side of hills and that there are no shops in sight! But it isn't all true! You need to experience life in ireland to know how wonderfull it is.
I chose my Google design because it shows the parts of My Ireland that I love. The Ha'penny bridge represents Irish architecture. The harp forming the letter G reminds us of our Celtic heritage and literature. The airplanes represent today's multicultural Ireland and the cloud and rain represent Irish weather.
There are a few things from Ireland that, no matter where i go, will stay in my heart as trademarks of Ireland. Molly Malone is one of the highlights, and of course it is always lucky to have the flag and a hint of a leprehaun.
The reason I chose to base my google design on celtic design is because it is a true symbol of Ireland. I have always been interested in the Celts and how people in Ireland lived back then.
'My Ireland' means it's people . No matter where you go in the world you feel at home when you meet Irish people because they are always ready to have a good time with their music, stories, dancing and craic!
In my logo, I used many of Ireland's most popular icons. Such as a potato or spud which is Ireland's historic staple food. I also used popular sport items like a hurle and sliotar and not forgetting to include a regular aspect of Ireland's weather...Rain!
I chose to base my Doodle 4 Google on Celtic Ireland. I used bright, colouful, interesting designs. I think it expresses Ireland's intricate past and vast history. It shows Ireland has past and vast history. It shows Ireland has an art filled past, the Book of Kells being known for its beautiful Celtic designs.
The shamrock represents the heart and the leprechan, the luck that follows the Irish People. The sheep represents the well being and comfort of Ireland. The hat represents honour and respect. The Harp expresses our love for music and joyful and thankful hearts. The rose and Aran script communicate love
Irish music, dance and laughter. Rolling hills and breathtaking scenery. Enchantment and folklore. Luck of the Irish, A perfect mix of modern and traditional living. National pride in my country and its people. Dear to my heart, my home in Ireland.
My Ireland consists of shamrocks hiding in the lush green grass beside meandering streams with the soft sounds of contented farm animals in the background. Nearby the sounds of laughter, people telling tales and dancing to Irish music.
My design uses only three colours which helps it stand out and it keeps my design simple and clear. I've used the Irish colours. The symbols used are all typical of Ireland eg . pint of Guinness.
My Ireland to me is all about combining the world views and cultural views of Ireland. They are represented in the leprechaun and the shamrock, which have long been symbols of the Irish. The cultural background is symbolised in the Celtic illuminated 'e' and the crook
Ireland is home to me, it has much history within it so I have chosen a Celtic theme for my entry. Ireland is where I live, and where I was born so it therefore contains most of my history along with many other people.
In my doodle I wanted to show that Ireland is a modern country with a very unique culture and heritage and also very hard-working people ( as seen by mini workers) I also wanted to express a sense of Ireland through the ages: ( The Celts, 1916 rising and the GPO, the Celtic Tiger and the Spire in Dublin)

My doodle represents Celtic styling, architecture and art. My design depicts ancient Ireland, the Ardagh Chalice, the longship and of course the calligraphy from the Book of Kells
'My Ireland' is a land full of history, sport, art and music. I feel privileged to be born in a country so full of culture and beauty. It was difficult to portray all of this, but I tried to depict images that represent all of this.
The theme my Ireland makes me think of things that Ireland is to me. The harp is our national symbol apart from bad weather. we are known for Celtic designs and our sport hurling.
Ireland is changing everyday and always becoming more and more modern but I've always lived here so Ireland is very typical to me. The Spire represents changing Ireland but the bridge and the houses show quintessential Ireland.
My doodle depicts the traditional Celtic knots and ornamentation, often found in Irish manuscripts, transforming into wires and technology symbolising the Ireland of today. While the old Celtic traditions and practises influence our culture, we’ve developed them further to make Ireland what it is today.
I have tried to bring different elements of history and modern times into my design. The 9 objects Petnie Crown, Triskell (from Tunoe Stone), Harp, Round Tower, Celtic Gospel Bird, Guinness, Fiddle, Portel Dolmen and Pot of Gold are from various history stages in Ireland. I wanted to give a 360* view of Ireland as there is so much more to it than Shamrocks and Leperchauns.
Ireland is represented by the two chimneys of Dublin Bay which are a great symbol of Dublin, our capital city. The Luas represents the new and modern Ireland while the horse represents the famous Irish horse fairs that have been on for hundreds of years - it is a symbol of our past and future.
I brought together different symbols, for instance the fox and the landscape in the background symbolise Ireland's natural life. The Celtic G, shamrock and Cladagh ring show the old Ireland and Ireland's early art. I put in the Spire and Gaelic sports symbol to show the changing face of Ireland.
In my doodle i have attempted to represent a typical rural lifestyle in Ireland. The inclusion of sheep and a traditional farmhouse shows an old rural community. The rising of the sun over the green hills floods the sky and is welcomed by the cockeral. An enchanting scene leaving one in awe.
The theme 'My Ireland' means to me the things that make you proud to be Irish. I used some of the historic places, people and events that make Ireland what it is today. I used things like Padraig Pearse because i think he's an important part of Irish history.
On St.Patrick's day Irish people around the world celebrate their connection to Ireland "The Emerald Isle". "My Irish Roots" represents this connection with how shamrocks trace back to their roots in the same way that Irish people throughout the world trace back to Ireland, their Ireland, my Ireland.
The title I chose translates as "Search for Irish Heritage". I hope it encourages Irish people all over the world to make a link with their Irish heritage. My logo connects our past with the present. A country without a heritage is a country without a soul.
Being Irish is being part of a culture full of traditional music and dance. "Riverdance", to me represents all things Irish, from the dancers wigs to the designs and prints on their dresses. My doodle portrays this culture and the celtic letter "g" represents the traditional celtic culture of Ireland.
I choose the cliffs as my image because Ireland has some of the most majestic landscapes, that cannot be seen throughout the rest of Europe.
'My Ireland' reminds me of a passenger who has stood a very long time waiting on a train of opportunity. Since the introduction of Google into Ireland, the country has took off on a very long adventurous technological journey giving young Irish people the best opportunities possible.
My Ireland means to me my home, my town my country it also means to me my heritage and culture. I have portrayed this in this piece of work by giving each letter a symbol of something Irish. This piece burns strongly in my heart.
As I see a tractor every day on my way home, I thought it would be a great illustration of 'My Ireland'. Coming from South Africa, you wouldn't see them as much
My logo represents an eclectic mix of all things that I feel represent Ireland, past and present. The harp is synonymous with Irish traditional music. The claddagh ring represents relationships at home and in other countries through emigration. The mitre is a tribute to Saint Patrick and what he did for Ireland.
My doodle portrays the Irish Myth of the Children of Lir. As a child, I was told myths and legends about swans, giants and Ireland long ago. These images became my Ireland. The G is decorated with a celtic design and the shamrocks are to honour Irish culture.
After studying Irish Art History In Art Class, it seemed appropriate to acquire inspiration from Illuminated Manuscripts such as the Cathach, Book of Durrow and the Book of Kells. Each of these contain zoomorphic patterns so hence: Zoomorphic Google
For me, Ireland is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The Irish are proud of their culture and heritage and are not afraid to celebrate it. I have emphasised the culture, the colours of the flag and Ireland's scenery throughout my design, to symbolise this pride.
When I think of 'My Ireland', I think: "Connemara!". This design shows the homely, original Ireland with breath-taking scenery, lots of character and the remains of our ancient history. For me, Ireland is not just about our culture; it's about our land, our roots and our background.
I think that Ireland is a rapidly changing place and that it is always wise to remember the changes we went through in the past. Therefore I have included symbols of traditional culture (motifs from the Book of Kells, shamrocks and decorative symbols from the kerb stone at Newgrange). Contemporary symbols such as 'the Spire' and wind turbines represent the new.
My Ireland is a beautiful dynamic island. Mountains climb high, the sea soars and sport is king. My Ireland has a fruitful history and the past is as important as the the present. We carry ancient skills of language and design. Nature is respected here and everyone is equal.
My Ireland' today is overshadowed by the doom and gloom of the recession. I wanted to bring a humourous aspect to this. I drew a caricature of our Taoiseach looking anxious. I included a cartoon of a tiger appearing sad with a duffle bag to represent the end of the Celtic Tiger.
Ireland is a country with a deep musical root and nothing screams Irishness more than a traditional Irish pub session, or 'seisiún' in Irish. To me, the music, along with the people who make it, best sums up the warmhearted and friendly spirit of Ireland. Come and see for yourself!
I moved to Ireland to live two years ago. It is a very different life for me, which offers better opportunities for my future. With a new language to master and new friends to make, each day is a surprise.
