Tired of typing on your phone’s tiny keyboard? Not sure how to spell a business name? Simply say it to Google Maps for mobile. It’s really that simple.
Supported now on the following BlackBerry devices: 8110, 8120, 8130 (US only). Using your voice is optional. You can always type your searches as usual.
Enter your phone number and we'll send you a link.
You can now skip typing when you search for businesses on your BlackBerry.
Learn how you can speak your search to find any business in your current map view:

1. Hold the left-side key

2. Say the business type. For example ‘pizza’ or ‘florist’. (Or, you can say a specific business name. For example ‘Luca’s pizza’ or ‘Dave’s flowers’)
3. Release the left-side key when you have finished speaking

4. Google Maps for mobile will recognize your spoken query and search the map

This is an experimental version. Wish you could use Google Maps for mobile with voice search but your mobile device is not yet supported? Check out GOOG-411, another hands-free way to find and connect with businesses using your voice, which works from any phone.
