Obama is cleaning up in small donations (under $200), and is still way ahead. Lots of room for more money to come in.
Hillary is highest in $4600 donations (percentage), but is in deep debt. Supporters tapped out?
McCain is behind in all donation categories, and still hasn't raised as much as Romney had (although Romney spent tons of his own money).
The presidential field has dwindled significantly, but not before the candidates raised more than half a billion dollars in 2007. By some predictions, the eventual nominees will need to raise $500 million apiece to compete—a record sum. To find out where all this money is coming from, click on the candidates' names below and explore the options to the left. The candidates now file campaign finance reports monthly. The reports for April are due May 20th.
