While the design of the coffee table itself doesn't really appeal to me, I like the idea of integrating a magazine holder into the table.

This really has a lot of cool bits to it. The integrated magazine shelf is excellent, and the various cubbyholes are also nice.

I think I could hack my own home-made version of this with some home depot parts. Might make a good nightstand (held "floating" from the wall).

Okay, this is a great use of space. I think I could pull of a hacked together version of this with two slim shelves and some extra wood bits. However, with space for maybe three magazines or five CD cases, I'm really not sure how useful this is. Perhaps I could take this idea further. Needs a visit to the home depot or whatever to get some ideas.

The hidden cubbyhole underneath the table. I'd like to fashion something like this for the coffee table I already have, where I could stow some of the AV equipment. Also a good place to put remote controls, since the couch would be right in front of it.

This could be a good media cabinet to go under the hanging plasma TV. Stick the Xbox 360 and Wii gracefully on either side of the top, and use the little holes to stick game boxes or something.

The magazine holder its a particularly nice idea, but there should be more than one.

Some notable features I'd have to hack into whatever furniture I end up using for the AV area:
* 1. Cable holes are on the bottom instead of on the back of the furniture, and furniture sits higher than wall outlets, allowing it to sit flush with the wall.
* 2. A "breathing hole" to keep the AV area from getting too hot.
* 3. At the right are kitchen-style cabinets for DVD movie cases, stored facing upward.

This is the sort of crazy stuff I want to do in the extra living room (fourth bedroom). Especially the bright design in the second photo. Instead of buying something, I'm going to design my own stuff for the walls.

Flippant light switch plate.
I'd like to do something like this around one of the lightswitches, except, actually drawn. Something like the art for Bjork's album Vespertine.

This is something I'm definitely going to do.
