液晶面板与液晶显示器有相当密切的关系,液晶面板的产量、优劣等多种因素都连系着液晶显示器自身的质量、价格和市场走向。其中液晶面板关系着玩家最看重的响应时间、色彩、可视角度、对比度等参数。从液晶面板可以看出这款液晶显示器的性能、质量如何?小林在网上找了一下液晶面板的资料,只要是针对目前主流的液晶面板,让大家在购买液晶显示器时心里有一个底。

VA型:VA型液晶面板在目前的显示器产品中应用较为广泛的,使用在高端产品中,16.7M色彩(8bit面板)和大可视角度是它最为明显的技术特点,目前VA型面板分为两种:MVA、PVA。

MVA型:全称为(Multi-domain Vertical Alignment),是一种多象限垂直配向技术。它是利用突出物使液晶静止时并非传统的直立式,而是偏向某一个角度静止;当施加电压让液晶分子改变成水平以让背光通过则更为快速,这样便可以大幅度缩短显示时间,也因为突出物改变液晶分子配向,让视野角度更为宽广。在视角的增加上可达160度以上,反应时间缩短至20ms以内。

PVA型:是三星推出的一种面板类型,是一种图像垂直调整技术,该技术直接改变液晶单元结构,让显示效能大幅提升可以获得优于MVA的亮度输出和对比度。此外在这两种类型基础上又延出改进型S-PVA和P-MVA两种面板类型,在技术发展上更趋向上,可视角度可达170度,响应时间被控制在20毫秒以内(采用Overdrive加速达到8ms GTG),而对比度可轻易超过700:1的高水准,三星自产品牌的大部份产品都为PVA液晶面板。

IPS型:IPS型液晶面板具有可视角度大、颜色细腻等优点,看上去比较通透,这也是鉴别IPS型液晶面板的一个方法,PHILIPS不少液晶显示器使用的都是IPS型的面板。而S-IPS则为第二代IPS技术,它又引入了一些新的技术,以改善IPS模式在某些特定角度的灰阶逆转现象。 LG和飞利浦自主的面板制造商也是以IPS为技术特点推出的液晶面板。

TN型:这种类型的液晶面板应用于入门级和中端的产品中,价格实惠、低廉,被众多厂商选用。在技术上,与前两种类型的液晶面板相比在技术性能上略为逊色,它不能表现出16.7M艳丽色彩,只能达到16.7M色彩(6bit面板)但响应时间容易提高。可视角度也受到了一定的限制,可视角度不会超过160度。现在市场上一般在8ms响应时间以内的产品大多都采用的是TN液晶面板,价格一般在1999-2299元。

  很多人在购买液晶电视的时候,往往被屏幕的问题所困惑。有的称采用7代屏,有的说是夏普TV专用屏,有的说采用硬屏。外行人还真分不出来好坏。对液晶电视来说,液晶面板是极为关键的部件,占了整机成本的2/3以上。在选择液晶电视的时候,消费者基本上都是听从商家和销售人员的宣传,或者是通过说明书加以了解。要选择一款好的液晶电视、一块好的液晶面板,首先要了解液晶面板的工作原理、相关参数和目前的主流技术。

  在液晶显示面板中,主要的物质就是液晶。液晶电视屏幕的构造是2块特殊的玻璃夹住液晶体,通过8比特驱动电路和高效背灯系统来调节成像。简单说,液晶电视的成像原理,首先依靠后方一组日光灯管发光,然后经由一组菱镜片与背光模块,将光源均匀地传送到前方,依照所接收的影像讯号,液晶画素玻璃层内的液晶分子会作相对应的排列,决定哪些光线是需偏折或阻隔的。

  组成屏幕的液状晶体有三种:红、绿、蓝,它们按照一定的顺序排列,这三种颜色被称为“三基色”,通过电压来刺激这些液状晶体,就可以呈现出千变万化的颜色。由于液晶电视采用点成像,因此屏幕里面构成的点越多,成像效果越精细,纵横的点数就构成了液晶电视的分辨率,分辨率越高,效果越好。

  而目前市场上所有的液晶面板技术共4种,分别是CPA、P-MVA、S-PVA和S-IPS。这4种技术又分两大阵营,CPA、P-MVA、S-PVA同属于VA阵营,为垂直配向技术,特性是在常态下分子长轴垂直于面板方向平行排列。而S-IPS属于独特的技术。

  6代、7代液晶屏幕的划分

  生产大屏幕液晶电视,需要6代线以上生产线。目前全球共有1条7.5代线(LPL);2条7代线(均为三星,其中一条为三星控股的和SONY合资的S-LCD拥有)、6条6代线(夏普、LPL、友达、广辉、华映各一条,奇美一条5.5代线)在生产。

  液晶面板采用几代线,本身并无技术先进落后的分别,只是面板尺寸大小不同,代数越高,面板越大,切割出来的屏幕价格更低些。在分辨率、亮度、对比度、响应速度、可视角等方面也没有什么太大的差别。其中三星7代线适合切割32、40、46英寸屏幕,一张面板可切割8片40英寸的,所以现在40英寸的液晶电视价格非常便宜。而6代线最适合切割32、37英寸的屏幕,LPL的7.5代线则适合切割37、42、47英寸的屏幕。

  CPA和夏普屏

  CPA,为Continuous Pinwheel Alignment的缩写,意思为连续焰火状排列技术,为夏普所发明,目前夏普生产的面板采用这种技术。CPA模式的每个像素都具有多个方形圆角的次像素电极,当电压加到液晶层次像素电极和另一面的电极上时,形成一个对角的电场驱使液晶向中心电极方向倾斜。各液晶分子朝着中心电极呈放射的焰火状排列。

  在夏普液晶电视的宣传材料上,经常提到使用了ASV技术,这并不是一种面板技术类型,而是一种用于提高图象质量的技术,ASV为Advance Super View或Axial Symmetric View的缩写,主要是通过缩小液晶面板上颗粒之间的间距,增大液晶颗粒上光圈,并整体调整液晶颗粒的排布来降低液晶电视的反射,增加亮度、可视角和对比度。由于夏普面板产量不足,因此现在需要到台湾采购面板来生产液晶电视,无论是夏普的CPA面板还是台湾的面板,都使用ASV技术。

  P-MVA和台湾屏

  P-MVA是MVA升级的技术,MVA 为Multi-domain Vertical alignment的缩写,意思为多象限垂直配向技术,富士通开发,是最早出现的广视角液晶面板技术。MVA液晶面板的液晶层中包含一种凸出物供液晶分子附着,在不施加电压的状态下,MVA面板的液晶分子垂直于屏幕。施加电压后,液晶分子就会依附在凸出物上偏转,形成垂直于凸出物表面的状态。此时,它与屏幕表面也会产生偏转效应,使光线透过,形成画面。它的优点是色彩表现好,纯黑色表现力强,视角广,响应时间达到了灰阶8ms甚至更高的水平,而且成本较低。我国台湾省的奇美和友达采用P-MVA技术。

  目前奇美和友达屏幕最大的特点是FULL HD,可以提供37、42、47英寸的1920*1080的屏幕。

  S-PVA和三星屏

  S-PVA是PVA的升级技术,PVA为Patterned Vertical Alignment的缩写,意思是图像垂直调整技术,是三星公司的独家专利。其原理是在液晶分子静止时从传统的直立式变为偏向某一个角度,这样,当施加电压时,液晶分子变为水平状态的反应时间变短了,其响应时间可达全程8ms或更高。同时因改变了液晶分子配向,对比度、可视角有很大提高。目前SONY也使用这种屏幕。

  三星7代屏中,有一种半像素分级显示屏,按照SONY的官方的解释,半像素被称为"将一个副像素分为两个亚副像素"。液晶电视的一个像素,由R、G、B三个像素组成,而采用半像素分级显示的S-PVA面板,每个R、G、B像素,又分为两个"半像素",当控制面板显示图象的信号电压超过50%时,整个像素发光,当低于50%时,可以控制其中一个关闭,一个发光,通过这两个半像素的组合,提高色彩和灰度的表现力。和普通液晶面板比,"半像素"为"〉"状,在屏幕前近距离观察时特征十分明显,很容易判断。半像素分级显示面板是三星的独家专利技术,可提高画面细节和对比度,色彩层次更丰富、逼真。目前只有SONY的V系列、三星的M61B、R71B系列和46M51B和长虹的LT40/4619P、新科的DTV-460采用此屏幕。

  S-IPS和LG.PHILIPS屏

  S-IPS是IPS升级后的技术,IPS为In-Plane Switching的缩写,意为平面转换技术,为日立的专利。IPS技术与上述技术最大的差异就在于,不管在何种状态下液晶分子始终都与屏幕平行,采用完全平行的液晶分子排列方式,使液晶分子可以做最大限度的旋转角度以增加视角,响应速度已可达到灰阶8ms。目前LPL的屏幕就是采用这种技术。

  S-IPS屏幕,在受到外部压力时,可完全消除一般液晶显示屏形成的水波纹扩散现象,这就是平时大家所说的硬屏。

  由于ISP屏的技术是日立发明的,因此日立和松下、东芝合资成立的一家生产液晶面板的公司,就是以ISP命名的,为6代线,预计年底可投产。到时候,IPS屏将不是全部由LG.PHILIPS生产的。

闲来无事,在吸收前人经验的基础上,结合自己的经验,写点东西和大家交流交流。达人可以无视,毕竟是写给不甚了了的新手看的

    Lenovo Thinkpad,虽然已不复往日神话般的辉煌,但是依然受到大量国内外中高级用户的推崇。下面根据个人经验,以美国cto机型为例,把境外购买Thinkpad及回国注册IWS流程和大家交流一下

一 购买篇
a)准备工作、必备知识

    购买之前首先是调查取证,了解哪里购买价格最实惠。据个人所知,目前Thinkpad(下面简称TP)在美国的价格的确是最低,相对国内行货的价格,有折扣的时候更是让人跌破眼镜。因为美国laptop市场竞争实在是太激烈了,经常有GatewayAcer、Dell、Toshiba之类的品牌爆出399、499美元的低价,HP的价格也往往比TP的价格要好,有折扣的时候也通常在900美元以下。所以,购买TP一定要趁打折的时候下手。

    需要说明的是,美国购买TP须具备以下条件:在美国有固定有效的收货地址、电话、美国本土信用卡或者银行帐号。一般通常的流程是,亲友使用美国信用卡或者本土paypal购买TP,收货,携带机器回国。邮寄机器回国自然也ok,不过有很大几率会被海关截留、罚款。罚款一般在1000人民币/台左右。

注:1 国际信用卡购买TP也有成功的先例,但求稳妥,还是用美国本土信用卡保险些。
    2 没有信用卡的话,用debit card可以注册paypal,一样可以购买TP。国内注册的paypal无效。

    根据个人经验,总的来说,从北美Lenovo官网www.lenovo.com/us/en购买价格最好,也最有保障。官网提供的是CTO机型,即用户自定义机型,没有固定的型号,依照用户个人的喜好自定义配置,这样可以规避型号可能带来的库存积压。登陆官网,直接点击products就可以下单购买了。但是,官网的价格并一定有最好的折扣,怎么办呢?
   
    Lenovo提供的折扣,除了官网上标出的折扣之外,通常会在特定的时间内提供电子折扣券(eCoupon)供用户使用,这样的话,官网折扣叠加coupon之后往往会有7折乃至更低的折扣。coupon哪里找?美国有几个知名的打折网站会专门别类的总结出各类商品的coupon,其中自然少不了大名鼎鼎的TP。介绍几个消息迅速及时的网站给大家:

    在这些网站上,coupon和TP折后的价格一目了然,让购买者心中有数。

    刚才说到,官网折扣叠加coupon之后会有很好的价格。这里再介绍一个购买更廉价TP的途径。Lenovo有一个Contractor Purchase Program(cpp),相当于大客户购机的意思,价格一般比官网的列出价格要好,配件也另有优惠,更重要的是有时候会额外提供非常赞的deal。但是这个Program的coupon往往并不能和网上流传的coupon同时使用,所以购机者须仔细计算price,争取拿到一个最好的价格。

    Passcode有时候会有变动,需要放狗搜索。一月份的passcode是110271,刚才试了一下,不管用了。

    其他优惠(折扣):在美国购物,有一些途径可以提供cash back,即消费之后会有一些现金返还。比如www.fatwallet.com肥钱包网站和一些特定的信用卡。这里谈一谈肥钱包。在肥钱包注册很简单,使用美国的固定有效地址注册,在购物之前先登陆fatwallet,从其提供的cash back连接里登陆购物网站(如Lenovo官网),这样在checkout之后就会收到肥钱包提供的现金返还。目前fatwallet针对Lenovo提供的cash back的额度是8%。需要说明的是,如果使用Lenovo的cpp计划购机,则不能使用fatwallet。

    关键词 Type 机型

    每个TP都有一个Type(机型),Type对境外购机者非常重要。Type决定了机器的具体保修区域,如果保修区域不包括中国,全球联保自然没有任何意义。。。。咱必然是在天朝本土用啊。。。所以,购买之前,调查好自己意向购买TP的机型。如何调查Type呢?在下一步的下单过程中,进入具体的自定义配置之后,就会看到机器的机型,如7675CTO,表明机器是Type 7675的自定义机型。然后进入如下网站

输入Type,就可以看到该机型全球联保包括的所有区域。输入7675,看看找到了什么?

b)购买、下单

    相比准备工作,下单就相当的简单。直接登陆官网,或者通过fatwallet提供的链接登陆官网,找到相应TP,自定义配置,add to cart,输入coupon,然后chectout,一步一步照做就OK了。chectout之后自然是填入相关信息: name、shipping address&billing address、phone number、credit card number等等。需要注意的是shipping address&billing address一定要一致,这样可以避免不少麻烦。
    Lenovo会提供TP的free shipping,耗时大概4个工作日左右。但是注意!TP的shipping date并不是你完成网上下单的日期,而是位于中国的工厂收到订单后,装配完机器、发货到美国、转交给美国本土快递的日期。一般总的递送时间在2-3个礼拜,个别机型可能会达到4个礼拜。购买信息填写不完备,shipping address&billing address不一致也会造成订单延误。运气好的话,1个礼拜就可以收到机器了。
    补充说明两点:
1  下单的时候,改好配置后会有附件和保修的清单提供。如果办理IWS没有问题的话,建议直接购买保修。默认的保修一般是1年有限保修,升级成3年只需100多美元,价格很好。有时候赶上warranty的deal,价格就更好啦!

2  如果刚刚购买完TP就赶上降价,那不是亏大发了?没关系,你可以申请price protection。下单之后的最后一步(已经填完所有信息),不要立即点击checkout,点击旁边的quote,这样,lenovo会把一个quotation发送到你的邮箱。这个quotation具有30天的效力,30天内都可以根据它提供的链接按原定价格付款,不支付则订单作废。另外如果官网降价,这个可以作为申请价格保护的依据。Lenovo会参照quotation上的价格和现行价格,赔付差价。如果价格升高了,那还犹豫什么,checkout吧! 我自己就有申请price protection成功的经历,联想赔了80刀给我,呵呵。如果已经购机,让美国的亲友直接给Lenovo打电话,要求赔偿。

    这样下来,等待一段时间,机器就可以拿到手了,但是还是在美国的亲友手里,开苞权是享用不到了[email=#%#@^%%]#%#@^%%[/email]#^@~~保险起见,应当把包装去除,只携带机器和配件回国,这样可以轻松避开海关检查。一般来说,两台新笔记本是携带的上限。多了就做好掏大把银子的准备吧。


二  注册IWS全球联保篇

    在购机篇里谈到了TP的Type,只要International warranty service availability  Location里包括中国,就可以回国办理IWS全球联保。办理IWS也是相当简单,备齐所需资料即可。

a) checkout之后Lenovo发给你的确认函(英文)
b) 购机人护照的照片页和签证页。必须有出大陆、入美国、入大陆的海关盖章。如不方便传真,准备相应的照片亦可。护照的复印件再传真或者拍下来也可以使用。如果购机人和携机人不是同一个人,则必须准备两个人护照的照片页和签证页。购机人只要有出大陆和入美国的海关盖章就ok。
c) 机器底部的coa号码。机器底部有块写有操作系统贴纸。将其上14位数字提供给Lenovo。

ExpressCard is a hardware standard replacing PC cards (also known as PCMCIA cards), both developed by the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association. The host device supports both PCI Express and USB 2.0 connectivity through the ExpressCard slot, and each card uses whichever the designer feels most appropriate to the task. The cards are hot-pluggable. This is an open standard by ITU-T definition which can be obtained from the ExpressCard website. However, a US$2,500 fee[1] is required to access the documentation.

These slots can accept Firewire 800 (1394B), SATA external disk drives, wireless cards, soundcards, additional memory and memory card readers, among other things.

ExpressCard supports two form factors, ExpressCard/34 (34 mm wide) and ExpressCard/54 (54 mm wide, in an L-shape) — the connector is the same width (34 mm) on both. Standard cards are 75 mm long (10.6 mm shorter than CardBus) and 5 mm thick, but may be thicker on sections that extend outside the standard form factor — for antennas, sockets, etc. The 34 mm form factor cards fit into both 34 mm and 54 mm card slots via a diagonal guide in the rear of the 54 mm slot that guides the card to the connector. The 54 mm card will only fit in a 54 mm slot.

[edit]Comparison to CardBus

The major benefit of ExpressCard technology over the previous PCMCIA CardBus PC card is a dramatic increase in bandwidth, afforded by the fact that the ExpressCard has a direct connection to the system bus over a PCI Express x1 lane or USB 2.0, whereas CardBus utilizes an interface controller that only interfaces with PCI. The ExpressCard has a maximum throughput of 2.5 Gbit/s through PCI Express or 480 Mbit/s through USB 2.0 dedicated for each slot, versus CardBus's shared 1.04 Gbit/s bandwidth.

In addition, the ExpressCard standard uses lower voltages than the previous CardBus slots (1.5V and 3.3V versus 3.3V and 5.0V).

The ExpressCard FAQ also claims other advantages, including lower cost, better scalability, and better integration with motherboard chipset technology. The ExpressCard interface is not backwards-compatible with CardBus devices, which presents a problem for those who may purchase a new system only to find that their devices do not work with the new slot design.

ExpressCard has become quite prominent on most new or high-end laptops made since 2006.

Hewlett-Packard began shipping systems with ExpressCard in November of 2004, [1] and Lenovo integrated the slot into their flagship ThinkPad T43 in May 2005. [2] Dell Computer also incorporates this in their Precision (the 17" models have them exclusively, the 15" Precisions have both express card and PCMCIA Card slots), Inspiron, Latitude (Latitude D-series have PCMCIA card slots. The D820/D830 have both express card and PCMCIA card slots), Vostro and XPS Laptop product lines. Fujitsu-Siemens began shipping systems [3] with ExpressCard in mid 2005. Apple Inc. included a single ExpressCard/34 slot in their MacBook Pro notebook computer in January 2006. ASUS has also replaced the PC Card slot with an ExpressCard slot on many of its new models. Sony also began shipping systems [4] with ExpressCard with its new laptop VGN-SZ product line. The Acer Aspire laptop series also has a single ExpressCard/34 slot. Panasonic incorporates ExpressCard/54 slots in all the fully rugged and semi-rugged models of their Toughbook brand of portable computers. Gateway notebooks (ML3109 and later) also ship with ExpressCard 54 interfaces.

Because of the lack of backward compatibility, some laptop manufacturers have chosen to release models incorporating both CardBus (PCMCIA, PC Card) and ExpressCard slots. These include certain models of Acer Aspire, Dell Latitude, MSI S42x and Lenovo ThinkPad Z60m and T60. In some laptops with such a dual set-up, the CardBus slot is marked with the letter 'O' and the ExpressCard slot is marked with the letter 'X'[citation needed].

A large number of ExpressCard devices were presented at the CeBit trade show in Germany in March 2005. [5] In November 2006, Belkin announced that it is launching the first ExpressCard docking station, which uses the PCIe part of an ExpressCard connection to enable 1600x1200 video and the USB part to provide USB, audio and network ports. [6] [7] This points to the ability for ExpressCard to allow more capable non-OEM docking stations for laptop computers.

Recently Sony has introduced its Vaio TZ model, which incorporates ExpressCards.

The new Toshiba Satellite P and X 200/205 series of laptops and desktop replacements have an ExpressCard/34 slot since April 2007.

In computing, PC Card (originally PCMCIA, or PCMCIA Card) is the form factor of a peripheral interface designed for laptop computers. The PC Card standard (as well as its successor ExpressCard) were defined and developed by a group of industry-leading companies called the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA). The United States computer industry created the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association to challenge the Japanese JEIDA memory card devices by offering a competing standard for memory-expansion cards. In 1991 the two standards merged as JEIDA 4.1 or PCMCIA 2.0 (PC Card).

PC Card was originally designed for computer memory expansion, but the existence of a usable general standard for notebook peripherals led to many kinds of devices being made available in this form. Typical devices included network cards, modems, and hard disks. The cards were also use in early digital SLR cameras, such as the Kodak DCS 300 series. The original use, as memory expansion, is no longer common.

Many notebooks in the 1990s came with two type-II slots with no barrier in between (allowing installation of two type-II cards or one, double-sized, type-III card). With the removal of legacy ports, most contemporary notebooks only feature a single type-II card slot.[citation needed]

PCMCIA stands for Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, the group of industry-leading companies that defines and develops the standard. While this acronym did clearly describe the original intentions of the organization's standard, it was difficult to say and remember, and was sometimes jokingly referred to as "People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms".[1] To aid in the widespread marketing and branding of the standard, and to account for the standard's widening scope (beyond just memory cards), the association acquired the rights to the simpler term "PC Card" from IBM, and began using it, rather than "PCMCIA", from version 2 of the specification onwards.

All PC Card devices use an identical 68 pin dual row connecting interface. All are 85.6 mm long and 54.0 mm wide. This is the same size as a credit card. The form factor is also used by the Common Interface form of Conditional Access Modules for DVB broadcasts.

The original standard was defined for both 5 volt and 3.3 volt cards. The 3.3 V cards have a key on the side to protect them from being damaged by being put into a 5 V-only slot. Some cards and some slots operate at both voltages as needed. The original standard was built around an 'enhanced' 16-bit ISA bus platform.

Cards designed to the original specification (version 1.x) are type I and feature a 16-bit interface. They are 3.3 mm thick. Type-I PC Card devices are typically used for memory devices such as RAM, flash memory, OTP, and SRAM cards.

Type-II PC Card devices feature a 16- or 32-bit interface. They are 5.4 mm thick. Type-II cards introduced I/O support, allowing devices to attach an array of peripherals or to provide connectors/slots to interfaces for which the host computer had no built-in support. For example, many modem, network and TV cards use this form factor. Due to their thinness, most Type II interface cards feature miniature interface connectors on the card which are used together with a dongle; a short cable that adapts from the card's miniature connector to an external full-size connector.

Type-III PC Card devices are 16-bit or 32-bit. These cards are 10.5 mm thick, allowing them to accommodate devices with components that would not fit type I or type II height. Examples are hard disk drive cards, and interface cards with full-size connectors that do not require dongles (as is commonly required with type II interface cards).

Type-IV cards, introduced by Toshiba, have not been officially standardized or sanctioned by the PCMCIA. These cards are 16 mm thick.

CardBus are PCMCIA 5.0 or later (JEIDA 4.2 or later) 32-bit PCMCIA devices, introduced in 1995 and present in laptops from late 1997 onward. CardBus is effectively a 32-bit, 33 MHz PCI bus in the PC Card form factor. CardBus includes bus mastering, which allows a controller on the bus to talk to other devices or memory without going through the CPU. Many chipsets are available for both PCI and CardBus, such as those that support Wi-Fi.

The notch on the left hand front of the device is slightly shallower on a CardBus device, so a 32-bit device cannot be plugged into a slot that can only accept 16-bit devices. Most new slots are compatible with both CardBus and the original 16-bit PC Card devices.

The speed of CardBus interfaces in 32 bit burst mode depends on the transfer type; in byte mode it is 33 MB/s, in Word mode it is 66 MB/s, and in DWord mode it is 132 MB/s.

CardBay is a variant added to the PCMCIA specification in 2001. This was intended to add some forward compatibility with USB and IEEE 1394, but was not universally adopted and only some notebooks support CardBay features in their PC Card controllers.

[edit]Descendants and variants

The interface has spawned a generation of flash memory cards that set out to improve on the size and features of Type I cards: CompactFlash, MiniCard and SmartMedia. For example, the PC Card electrical specification is also used for CompactFlash, so a PC Card CompactFlash adapter need only be a socket adapter.

ExpressCard is a later specification from the PCMCIA, intended as a replacement for PC Card, built around the PCI Express and USB 2.0 standards. The PC Card standard is closed to further development and PCMCIA strongly encourages future product designs to utilize the ExpressCard interface. As of 2007, the majority of laptops now ship with only ExpressCard slots or neither slot type (leaving expansion to USB and Firewire only), though the Lenovo Thinkpad T60 and Z60m, among other models, currently ships with both CardBus and ExpressCard slots.

ExpressCard and CardBus sockets are physically and electrically incompatible. Therefore, a simple mechanical adapter between the two formats is infeasible.[2] However, Duel Systems has developed a general-purpose adapter that electrically and physically adapts PC Card and CardBus devices to operate in ExpressCard slots [1]. Duel Systems has also developed a forwards-compatible ExpressCard-to-CardBus adapter, though it is limited to USB-based ExpressCard devices [2].

The Card Information Structure (CIS) is information stored on a PC card that contains information about the formatting and organisation of the data on the card.[3] The CIS also contains information about:

  • The type of card
  • Supported power supply options
  • Supported power saving features
  • The manufacturer
  • Model number
  • and so on.

When a card is unrecognised it is frequently because the CIS information is either lost or damaged.

【原创】T61休眠时耗电完美解决方法!

自从开始使用T61后,休眠时耗电的问题让我很头疼。放一个晚上电量就少了8%到12%。虽说我的电池也只是拿来当UPS用,看着它总在那里充放电的就闹心。以往用的本本可没有遇到过这种问题。
在坛子里面搜索了一下解决方法,网卡,无线网卡,Modem的休眠唤醒开关通通关了,问题还是没有解决。
似乎能解决的方法就是先拔电源后休眠,或是休眠后拔电池,我觉得这些都太麻烦,所以干脆改用关机了。

昨天无意中看到cmd下的命令行工具powercfg,仔细研究了一下所有参数后,先运行了这个

上面列出的是“用户可配置的从某个睡眠状态唤醒系统的设备。”。
第一行是猫,第二行是外接的鼠标,第三行是内置网卡,最后一行 “High Definition Audio Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN” 引起了我的注意,在无线网卡的前面多了一个“High Definition Audio”。这里可能是个bug,两个设备写成了一行。
运行下面这个
C:\>powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
High Definition Audio

这里说明还有一个设备配置成用于唤醒。
使用powercfg -devicedisablewake "ThinkPad Modem",能顺利的把Modem的唤醒开关关上
但无法用同样的方法关闭这个"High Definition Audio"。


打开设备管理器,却无法找到这个“High Definition Audio”。然后在设备管理器的菜单“查看”里面选“依连接排序设备”,下面就能找到这个“High Definition Audio 控制器”了。
在它的属性里面果然也有一个“电源管理”,把唤醒的开关去掉。
现在再运行
C:\>powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

C:\>
现在没有设备配置成用于唤醒了。

到了晚上,我看了一下电量,98%。休眠。然后拔掉电源,睡觉。
上午来到办公室,打开电源,从休眠恢复(毕竟比开机快了好多),看电量 98% ,!!!!!!!!!!!!! 搞定了!!!!!!!!!!!!!

我的系统是T61,vista,我想其他机型或是用xp,应该可以用同样的方法解决。

除了关闭唤醒之外,在网卡高级选项中有一项设置唤醒需设为禁用。如图。

Long, long time ago screensavers have been used to prevent the so-called screen-burn-effect — a permanent disfigurement of areas on a CRT display caused by non-moving text or graphics being displayed continuously for long periods of time. To avoid this effect, screen savers have been used to blank the screen or fill it with moving images or patterns when the computer was not in use. Today, screensavers don’t serve their original purpose and are primarily used for entertainment.

In fact, we don’t need screensavers any more, however we tend to use them as eye-candy for our coffee breaks. Particularly complex and colourful 3D-screensavers are extremely nice to look at. But also if you’d like to lift your spirit with some calm and relaxing animations screensavers can definitely be just what you are looking for.

However, if you are tired of the default screensavers brought to you by your OS you might start searching for the fresh ones in the Web. And you’ll quickly find out: the choice is enormous; freeware is usually supplied with adware, and there are literally thousands of commercial solutions. What screensaver to choose? Most companies have limited demo- and shareware-versions, but they are almost always rather disturbing than helpful and will only get on your nerves.

In fact, there are only few pearls - amazing screensavers you’d be really ready to pay for once you’ve tested them. We’ve downloaded and installed a hell of a lot of them, we’ve had many problems (mostly adware) with them, but in the end we’ve tested all of them. And we’ve selected the most beautiful, interesting and unusual screensavers for you. PC卡(舊稱 PCMCIA)是可插入膝上型电脑,提供额外功能的电子产品。

最初是由「个人电脑储存卡国际联盟」( Personal Computer Memory Card International Association)设定了这种卡的标准,故命名为「PCMCIA」卡,根据它的首字母缩略,又被谐称为「人们记不住计算机产业」( People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms)或「个人电脑制造商不能创造出个新的缩略词」(Personal Computer Manufacturers Can't Invent Acronyms)。之后,此種界面卡的新版本称为「CardBus」。PCMCIA可也发展成为一种笔记本电脑的外设类别,成为「新卡」或「快速卡」。

第一种PC卡(PCMCIA, 根据IBM的说法,应该称为「终端微通道互连架构部件」)是「一型界面卡」(Type I),可支持记忆卡(例如ATA一型快闪記憶卡);「二型界面卡」(Type II)則增加了输入输出支持;「三型界面卡」(Type III)在此基础上进一步扩展。输入输出功能已经不止能支持記憶卡,这一功能衍生出了一种快闪存储卡(依照一型界面卡的标准)----CF卡、Mini卡和SSFDC卡(SM卡)。

PC卡的物理尺寸与一张信用卡相仿,根据厚度不同共有三种不同的尺寸:一型卡厚3.3毫米,二型卡厚5.0毫米,三型卡厚10.5毫米。它们的长度均为85.6毫米,宽度均为54.0毫米。大部分筆記型电脑会設有两个二型界面卡插槽或一个三型界面卡插槽。大部分三型卡都是外置式硬盘,而且逐步被闪存、USB、火线,或者目前主流的Serial ATA接口方案取代。目前還在生产的一型界面卡主要是「ATA快闪存储卡」。

就如同其原先的名字,第一张PC卡是为了擴充儲存量。它是一种通用外设接口,能讓許多其他设备利用它與笔记本电脑進行連接。例如网卡、调制解调器和硬盘。

PC卡的电器规范使它也能被CF卡使用。这样PC卡CF适配器仅需要一个套接(socket)接口。它有时也被用来作为DVB广播的通用界面。

PC卡总线最早是16位的,与ISA(工業標準架構)总线相同。後來的CardBus增加为32位, 33兆赫兹(MHz)的 PCI总线。但基本物理结构与之前的卡相同。

CardBus卡正面左上角的凹口比旧版本的稍浅一些,因此这样32位的卡无法插入仅支持16位卡的系统。大部分新的插槽都支持Cardbus和较老的16位PC卡设备。

CardBus具有总线控制功能。可以使总线控制器直接与其他设备或内存对话,而无需经CPU处理。大部分芯片组都同时支持PCI总线和CardBus卡。

PCMCIA已经发展出新一代ExpressCard(曾命名为「新卡」)来代替现有的CardBus标准。ExpressCard相比CardBus更快更简单。通过ExpressCard插槽,主机可提供PCI Express和USB 2.0速度的连接。它支持热插拔。

ExpressCard提供两种尺寸,ExpressCard/34 (34 毫米宽)和 ExpressCard/54 (54 毫米宽,L型) —两种卡的连接口都是(34 毫米)。 标准卡的长度是75 毫米(比CardBus短10.6 毫米),5毫米厚,但在凸出卡插槽的部分(例如天线)的厚度可以超过5.5毫米。

惠普在2004年11月已经开始发售带ExpressCard接口的系统, [1],在05年5月,联想也在旗舰级产品T43中内置了ExpressCard接口。[2] 戴尔电脑在Inspiron系列中也支持这一接口。2006年1月起苹果电脑在MacBook Pro笔记本电脑中用一个ExpressCard/34插槽代替了原有的标准PC卡插槽。

2005年3月的Cebit展上展示了大量的ExpressCard设备。[3]
