Suspect

Causing or open to suspicion, or regarded with suspicion or distrust; that which is an object of suspicion;

thought of as or likely to be false, untrustworthy, doubtful, dubious, or questionable;

that which provokes distrust, doubt, misgivings, mistrust, questioning, or is not to be trusted or relied upon;

the quality that someone or something is seen as guilty, false, counterfeit, undesirable, or defective, though on the proviso that the impression does not rest upon strong evidence.

 

to doubt the truth or validity of, or be suspicious of, or distrust something;

to think something false, uncertain, or doubtful.
