Accept/acceptance/acceptable/acceptability Acknowledge as true or correct, agree to or with, consent, regard with approval, favourably, or considered satisfactory or adequate; willingness to believe; worth accepting, suitable; one alternative when encountering a proposition, hypothesis, or theory.
acceptability: in argument this refers to a standard for assessing the quality of the reason or reasons provided – a reason offered as support is acceptable when the reason is true or it is reasonable to believe it.
