Normative

Refers to a standard which defines and represents the most effective thinking and behaviour for dealing with specific problems and dilemmas, or achieving actors' goals, for example, with probability problems the normative model is the theory of probability – used as a comparative baseline for evaluating particular human judgements and actions.
