Pollution and Environmental Disasters

Ever since Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring alerted Americans to the dangers of pesticides in the environment, we  have become increasingly conscious of the toxins and pollutants that can hurt us and our world - our only world so far. If you weren't born until after the DDT ban or Love Canal or Chernobyl, or if you need a refresher on the abuse the Earth has been under and continues to suffer from stuff we create and dump, explore the following materials. You'll also see the strides being made to fix the problems.
