Cognitive illusion An illusion in the cognitive domain, for example, the size-weight illusion, other examples include: fixed-duration illusion, illusory correlation, clustering illusion, moses illusion, rubber hand phenomenon, Rumpelstiltskin phenomenon, Tycho's illusion, and the yolk phenomenon.
Even when people know the correct answer, with cognitive illusions, the structure of the problem tends to draw people to an incorrect conclusion.
