3. detailed descriptions of scoring procedures for obtaining test data.
 
Ensures that the influence of unique aspects of the testing situation and the assessor are minimized.
 
Also, the establishment of a set of norms or standards;
And more generally: the adjustment of something so that it is brought into some standard
frame of reference.
