Context
A set of
assumptions operative in a discussion, argument, or exploration of an issue:

 

Äthe specific circumstances within which an action or an event takes place;

Äthe background against which communication occurs, including the relevant factual information, the aims and interests of the actors, and the presupposition giving the communication its point;

Äthose events and processes characterizing a particular situation and having an impact on actors thinking and behaviour.
