Justification A consideration, fact, or reason which is sufficient to establish the correctness of a judgement, decision, or action; also, an attempt to make something – an action, decision, or belief, etc. – seem reasonable or acceptable; defending one’s reasoning; an excuse; a reason or explanation put forward or provided for why something happened or that some particular action (or group of actions) was taken.
