Type 1 and Type 2 errors
Essentially, Type 1 errors occur when we believe a falsehood, while Type 2 errors happen when we fail to believe a truth,
or put more formally:
that the former (T1) involves accepting an hypothesis when the data do not support that hypothesis, while the latter(T2) involves rejecting an hypothesis when the data are supportive of that hypothesis.
Type 1 “Hit”: not believing a falsehood.
