Conscious Mental state of awareness, attention, or cognizance, having thoughts, ideas, plans, images, etc., as well as having sensations and perceptions, feelings & emotions, and reacting to stimuli; having intent or intentionality.
*“Unconscious”: the mental state of being unaware or lacking in awareness; a loss of consciousness; processing of information which is auto-matic, rapid, and essentially unintentional and outside of awareness: see preconscious processing below.
† Preconscious processing Information processing occurring without an actor being conscious of this – his or her own – brain activity taking place.
