The extent to which a test is consistent over time, across or between subjects or within groups (re-test reliability or test stability), between different evaluators (inter-rater reliability), or that meaningful data are obtained from application of the test (internal consistency), etc;

that which is dependable, trustworthy, or accurate – what has proven to be correct many times before, for example, a judgement or an opinion.
