fleming (nee Scheel), formerly of Arnprior and Morh's Road, Fitzroy Township in
her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Fleming (1994). Dear mother of
David (Nancy) Fleming of Birdy Bay, NFLD and Donald (Hope) Fleming of Calgary,
Alberta. Dear grandmother of Ruth (Christopher Camp), Christopher, Leah and
Joel. Dear sister of Iris Scheel of Kenya, East Africa, Thelma (Harold) Lindsay
and Geraldine (late Doug) Macklem of Arnprior. Predeceased by brothers Ernie,
Arden, Gerald and Robert Scheel and sisters Erma (late Tom) Daze, Mildred
Switzer, Eva (late Orville) Felhaver. Dear sister-in-law of Pat Scheel and
Nettie Scheel Young. (22 August 2004)

MARY "ELAINE" SCHEEL, born August 25, 1937
in Columbus, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2004. She was a Director of
Liturgy and Religious Education. She taught in Catholic schools in Ohio and
Galveston, and more recently, retired as a Diocesan Director of the Persons with
Disabilities Program. In 1982, Elaine received a Papal
award. She also enjoyed bird watching and growing roses. Elaine was preceded in death
by her husband Robert Bernard "Bob" Scheel, her parents,
Clifford and Mary
Virginia Duncan and a brother, Jerry Duncan. She is survived by her son, Patrick
Duncan Scheel, daughter,
Mary Virginia Scheel and husband David;
son, Michael R. Scheel
and wife Susan; grandchildren, Joshua, Scotty and Duncan Scheel, Benjamin and Matthew
Williams; and her little granddaughter, Mary Emily Williams. The
family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday at Waltrip
Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Rd. where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00
p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at St. Matthew
the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9915 Hollister with Reverend Jack Cavanaugh
celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. For
those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Elaine's name, to the
charity of your choosing.
