The following are the Macintosh applications I've re-installed onto my new hard drive in May 2008. These applications are listed and linked on this jot.com wiki page in alphabetical order, but they are listed here in the order in which I have re-installed them. I have also listed additional patches and extentions I've downloaded and installed, in order. (This process is ongoing as of 5/10/2008.)
I ran all the default Apple Software Updates first after installing Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) from my install DVD.
MarsEdit - C (offline blogging tool)
Skitch - F (snap, draw, share - GREAT screenshot creation tool, supports direct web-posting to Flickr)
NeoOffice - F
A patch for NeoOffice was required as soon as I ran the program the first time.
Firefox - F
Flock - F
Unfortunately for some reason, at this point my previously occurring intermittent slowdown problem started happening again. :-(
iStat Menus - F (menu bar performance graphs)
Seashore - F (open source Mac port of the Gimp photo editor, but doesn't require X11)
Skype - F
Google Notifier for Mac - F
Google Updater was automatically installed when I clicked to install Google Notifier.
Google Earth - F (installed via Google Updater)
FeedForAll - C (RSS feed creator)
Cyberduck - F
Sierra Watcher - F (software to configure and use a Sierra Wireless cell phone network card)
QuickTime Pro - C
I just had to re-enter the registration code for QT Pro, since QT was already installed on my system
TubeTV - F (download YouTube videos in QuickTime/iPod compatible format)
Perian - F (free tool for viewing more online web video formats)
Flip4Mac - F (Windows Media components for QuickTime)
NeoOffice Remote - F (permits you to control NeoOffice presentations with your Apple Remote, and other programs using the same keyboard shortcuts)
