Description
6~
FIELD OF THE INVENlION
Thi~ invention relates to scalp-treating substances an(l,more specifically to a cllemical composition for stopplng alopecla and helping in the growth of hair.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Alopecia affects a significant proportion ~f the adult male population and may be considered by some to be an ae~thetlc disadvantage.
~cAlp-treating compositions ln the prior art have never been really success-ful in praventing, and even less so in helping in the growth of scalp hair.
~W~ r ~ L~
The composition of the invention i8 deslgned to effectively stop alopecia. Tlle above composition i8 further designed to hely in the 8ro~th oi air.
STATEMENTS OF THE INVENTION
The compositioll compri3es two essential substances in the variable proportions indicat:ed below and expressed in weight - garlic, constituting in between 55 and 85% thereof; and - copper sulEate, constituting in between 5 and 15% thereof.
The garlic shou]d preferably be of the red garlic type, although the white one could also be used~ A vegetable oil is added to complete the composition in a minimum amount of of 10% by weight to render the composition homogeneous. The vegetable oil should be taken from the group consisting of olive oil and Juniper oil.
The preferred composition is as follows:
olive oil, 15% of the composition;
red garlic, 75% of the composition; and copper sulfate, 10% of the composition, the percentage~ bein8 by weight.
The method of producing the composition i8 as follows:
:
Squash the garlic, grind the copper sulfate; mix the cornminuted garlic and the ground copper sulfate together and with the vegetable oll. If desired, only the liquid extracted from the garlic can be used. In this case, the above-noted percentages express tlle proportions of the ingredients as starting materia]s and not the proportions of the composition ready for use.
~ ethod of use: spread the mixture on the scalp layer by layer with a brush; rub the scalp for 5 to 10 minute~ to evenly distribute the mLxture and cause penetration oi the composition into the skin thereover; allow the composition to act for an hour and rinse with a solvent or with a shampoo.
The cycle should be repeated twice a week, for a perLod between one and two months. Care should be taken not to allow the composition to gain access to the eyes when rinsing. ~lowever, the composition is non-allergenic.
