Abstract

A wire connector having a base and cap, and the base (11) and cap (12) are provided with interfitting axially extending tap-ered keys (30) and keyways (40) to retain the cap in place on the base and help maintain the cap on the base by the interfit be-tween the walls of keys with the converging walls of the keyways.
