Abstract
An indoor air quality sen-sor designed to be utilized in a zone of a building to control the ventilation of the zone and the method of effecting such con-trol. The sensor (10) comprises a first sensor (10) for sensing a selected leading indicator of contamination in the zone and providing an output signal rep-resentative thereof and at least one additional sensor (10) for sensing at least one selected sec-ondary indicator of contamina-tion in the zone and providing an output signal representative thereof. A processor, utilized for generating an output signal representative of the indoor air quality in the zone, receives the output signals from the first sen-sor (10) and the least one ad-ditional sensor (10) and gener-ates the output signal represen-tative of the indoor air quality in the zone by influencing the out-put of the first sensor (10) by an amount that is a function of the output signal of the least one ad-ditional sensor (10).
