An UV disinfector (1) with a gravity driven feed water delivery system (21), and an air-suspended bare UV lamp (53). The disinfector (1) is hydrodynamically optimized with a laminerizing, perforated baffle wall (37), beveled treatment chamber (47), and outlet weir (69).
