Abstract

A subband directional audio signal processing system is disclosed. The system uses an adaptive beamforming and fixed beamforming, and comprises an analysis filterbank and a synthesis filterbank.

Claims (3)

1. A possibly oversampled subband directional audio signal processing system using adaptive beamforming and fixed beamforming techniques, and comprising multiple analysis filterbanks (one per microphone) and a synthesis filterbank and means to adjust and combine analysis filterbank results to achieve a desired beam pattern
2. A system according to claim 1, wherein the combining means uses an adaptation process operating on a set of B fixed beams rather than the microphone outputs
3. A system according to claim 1, wherein the combining means weights the microphone outputs directly.
