Abstract

A trainline communication controller for placement on a rail car or locomotive of a train in order form a network having a housing with a front plate assembly which includes a plurality of external electrical receptacles. A plurality of circuits, including surface connectors, are positioned in the housing. A printed circuit board including connectors mating directly with the surface connectors of the circuits and wherein the receptacles are mounted on the printed circuit board.
