Abstract

A controller (112) checks if an electronic device (11)is electrically connected. If a TV signal processing section (106) is not connected to anoth er electronic device (11), a signal processing circuit (113) carries out a norm al signal processing. If the TV signal processing section (106) is connected to another electronic device (11), the signal processing circuit (113) cooperat es with the electronic device (11) as if they operated as one apparatus so as t o carry out a processing most suitable for the input signal. An ID table store d in the controller (112) contains processing information concerning processin gs to be carried out with a corresponding electronic device. The processing information is related to the function ID of the corresponding electronic device.
