Abstract
The present invention targets Bound Volume Irreducible (BVI) and clay bound water (CBW) measurements for NMR logging. A horseshoe-like magnet is housed within a sensor assembly (101) which is attached by an arm mechanism (102) to the body of the logging tool (103). The magnet poles are designed such that the magnetic field is uniform and perpendicular to tool motion. One transmitter coil and two receiver coils may be used.
