Abstract
Arrangement and application for executing control measures against vermin either directly or indirectly via objects giving shelter to the vermin, e.g.
substrates of substances. The control measure is based on the rate of cooling the vermin, object, etc., with the help of dry snow particles to which smaller and larger sizes are allocated within a selected range of sizes and velocities are allocated within a selected range of velocities. The arrangement and the application are associated with advantages in the sense that environmentally friendly and rapid control is achieved, and in that an effectively functioning cooling system is obtained, which, by the gradual supply of snow, executes cooling through different velocities and sizes of the snow particles. Rapid cooling of a defined target can be obtained in this way. In an initial phaase the small snow particles contribute most to the cooling by sublimating and giving off cold rapidly. The larger snow particles are then used to penetrate through the gas barrier and pressure barrier that is created by the smnall snow particles, in conjunction with which cooling can be maintained or can proceed. A proportion of the kinetic energy from the reduction in the pressure of the gas is utilized to strike the target with snow particles of the aforementioned kind in an optimal fashion.
